If only I could
Explain
This strangeness
I've never known
A plague upon
My worn out heart
Tread marks
Upon my soul

Twisted emotions
Warped by time
My weary muse
Walks the line
It's more than some
Mere travesties
Something is damaged
In my inter being

Perhaps a bit to long in Hell
Forced to survive
The prison cells
The scourge that came
In the afterbirth
Societies label
Of my true worth

All these things
Forevermore
Below the surface
I lost this war
...

I was wrong, I see.
My water mixes poorly
With the flame of you.

She is madly insane.
He can't get enough of her.

He fell into a trap once he gazed into her dark brown eyes.
She hypnotized him with just one glance.
Nothing more was needed than a slight smile,
Her lips pressed together made him want to stay for a while.

He watched her dance under the rain,
Let her play with his hair.
There were no boundaries, no rules he could set for her.
She was free and he knew it all along.

He wanted her to stay but knew it wouldn't last.
He was sane.
And She was the reflection he saw in his mirror.
Because his sanity made her want to be even more
Insane.

Poetry comes back to me
where long there had been none.
Lyrical, the imagery, once shared
and then was done.

Thoughts of such sincerity
in words that grace the page,
Race across the span of time
that bridge the gap of age.

Trusting in the ardor that
has cooled and healed with time,
I read again the tender lines
of kindred souls, in rhyme.

Oh spirit of another age,
reach out from time and space.
Fan the embers turned to ash
and torpid ruin replace.

Timeline

The sands of time, the consistent line;
The fervent cause, takes with it each life.
The deaf, the dumb and the blind;
The man, the woman and the child.

No rest for death or for birth on this Earth.
No end in sight, no end of time.
This is the beginning of a whole new life;
This is the constant ending of a piece of mankind.

Until death do us part, our life on the line;
Our destiny is out of sight.
The one, forever, changing, consistency;
The timeline of life; no hands on time.

No clock to keep us in control;
No deadline, no lifeline, just death, life and my time.
A speck of light that may never be seen;
A visionaries ideological dream.
A figment of your imagination…
Or a glimpse of a universe that is forever in creation.

The other day I showed my mom my poems
"Why do you always write sad poems? Write happy." She says
I just nodded, but I couldn't tell her my code of secrecy.
I write so I can let all the pain go
The pain of yesterday
and the reason that was was that I didn't have anybody when I moved
Everybody was occupied
And on my first day of school, I ruined everything
my words were spoken in clumps
and my pen was my only companion
So I wrote
wrote like the ink was my blood and paper my skin
and poetry accepted my request of being a friend
now my poems act as a mentor and a tutor
I can't give up writing sad poems
because if I do,
I'll lose yesterday
