In this quiet place I sit,
all alone, yet never quite,
to watch the twilight bleed the day
and bring the bounty of the night.

He comes to me as evening wakes,
His silent solace ever true
bewitched I fall into his eyes
and there I feel my soul renew.

Her Scent

My fingers used to
always smell of her,
her scent would linger
on my clothes for days

Now that she has left,
my fingers reek of cigarettes,
and my clothes remain unwashed

All I want is for my skin to
absorb her scent once again

But this is not a poem,
and she has changed her perfume

There are so many things I wish for
Its a very long list

I wish I had more time
But time is not anyone's friend

I wish I was taller
But I always fall short

I wish I had more
But I always lack

I wish for a smile on my face
But all thats there are tears

I wish I didn't have to leave
But you know it was for the better

I wish I could reach out to you
But will you take my hand?

I wish I could be there
But I am oceans away

I wish, I wish
I can only wish

I wish you the happiest of happiness
The kind where you don't have to tear me apart

Asominate
I suppose as long as you embrace the death of your sanity,
It never truly dies.
