And so he sits
once more
folding his life
into an origami box.
Paper walls,
cellophane ceilings.
Counting out syllables.
Sequenced
to twist-**** the mind.
And quietly
he sits
ghosting the room.

i eat but don't taste
i sleep but don't rest
i laugh but don't heal
i love but can't feel
i like keeping it short at the moment

Stained Glass
One morning

I didn't wake up

And all of a sudden

The world fell in love with me

galaxy of myths
My fingers crawl to
the loneliest place when I
want and miss you most.

Salt in the air
Wind on my skin
Tousles my hair
Breathing it in.
Spray from the mist
All stresses cease
Time won’t exist
Life is at peace.

Love Erased

Jen
Time flew by
When you
Placed your hand
In mine.
A smile
Would remain
The whole time.
Nothing could erase it.
Nothing in this life.
My fingers danced
On yours,
And suddenly
Darkened skies
Said goodbye,
Sunlight out shined
Shadows.
The next moment,
I felt
Your comforting
Embrace
& love erased
Everything
I once knew,
Here in this place.

we do not write poetry
we write mirrors
which are held up
to curious faces
who read
looking for their
own reflections
