Gul Kak On A Walk..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
Gul Kak On A Walk..
Gul Kak.. You and Me did go on a walk..
On these roads where we had spent our youth and stalk,
These are the roads of our yester years,
When we were young and ye yet to see the light of days,
Many a times have we trampled these stormy roads,
Sometimes a laborer and often a coolie in many ways,
Our work was honest as honesty itself could be,
And earned a buck that fed our family happily,
Now on these same roads we do see,
Treacherous folks in the guise of nobility,
Ah these tramps don't remember HIM,
That sees all and knows all and the human whim,
Gone are those days of simplicity,
When our women folk would walk freely,
It is not the time that has changed,
But humans and its values deranged,
So we are come to the brink,
Where the roads end without any side link,
Gul Kak is sad to see it end this way,
That before long he asks his friends to take a walk the old way..,
If your soul is clean and heart so pure,
Come join Gul Kak in this walk for sure,
Gul Kak You and Me did go on a walk,
On those roads where we had spent our youth and stalk.

Chocolate...

"O' my cup of chocolate, oh my moll,
Come here & nourish my soul,
Lift me up from this crazy World,
Take me to the place where beauty lies unfurled,
Your beauty dazzles my vision
Your aroma a sweet seclusion,
That sweet touch on my lips,
As I imbibe you in relishing sips.
Ah every sip that I devour
Sends a feeling of sweet surrender,
O my cup of chocolate, oh my moll..
Come here & nourish my soul..
Lift me up from this crazy World..

Pamper the bird inside your cage,
Pamper him with your blood and love,
Let him nourish on love so pure
So as he becomes immortal in age.

Close the gates of your heart,
Let it not tremble with every start,
Let it settle for for a soothing pace,
Let it abide by its holy grace.

If you know what I say
And imbibe the nectar as you may
The light will shine from within thee
And you will embrace the eternal glory.

Daffodils..

Daffodils in the garden made my day,
Even as they bloomed but couldn’t say,
I watched them spring out of the wet clay,
The first of the flowers that made my day.
The serene beauty that bloomed out from petal lips,
Greeted the coming spring with their dancing hips
The joy that flooded my 'umble heart,
Was great to feel in a life, time apart.
These daffodils in my garden aren't unknown,
But those that my Gardener had earlier sown,
They have the beauty of his golden eyes
And so soft that only his grace imbibes.
I bow to thee O my Master, my Lord,
Unworthy of thee but still your part,
These daffodils that you have grown,
Is my reward that I am not alone!

Look Where We Have Come..

Look Where We Have Come...

Look where we have come,
After Tilling the land for years,
All friends around with laughter and tears,
Just like olden days even surpassing all these years.
O how can I forget the tug on my tail,
I feel it even now with happy tears,
That push in the water ever so frail,
And the laughter from my dears,
The bug in the books and hug of the friends,
Cramming pharmacy and medical trends,
Listening to lectures with dozing eyes
After nights spent in learning pathology and its vibes
Those clinical classes we attended
And all the laughter that we attracted
How can I forget those days at all
The love and laughter together of us all
With all of you together makes my Holy Grail,
My friends my friends are my dears all."

these words were penned on the spur, when my class fellows from my medical school (GMC'77)  came together. The joy was such immense. a jubilant moment

Vampires in Town..

There is a fight among Vampires in the town,
It is said to be for the Vampire crown,
Even some leaving the ruling clan,
To join the opposite renegade clan,
Guess the blood there is more sweet,
Otherwise vampires rarely make a retreat,
These are not humans anymore,
Yet their kind always galore,
In and around this town for more,
Blood, plenty around and not sour,
It has been thus for pretty long,
In this town of Kashur gong,
But when the time will come,
They cannot stand the bright Sun,
But will wither like ashes in the wind,
This town will see last of them,
Sure oh sure the time has to come.
Till then let us watch their dance,
And keep alight our own furnace.

Pluck the strings of your guitar,
Pluck them one by one at par,
The notes may be different if you hear,
The song it sings is but so unique and clear.

These strings I just strike
Makes my slumber fade like morning mist,
And the music that streams out,
Gave me a life that is not on any list.

Birds Chirp...
For some it is chatter,
But the wise listen
To it as Music, not clatter.

The seasons change,
The leaves golden fall without any heft,
All say O' Autumn is come,
But for me, the Wise have left.

The winter is gone and the snow melts
The flowers bloom and the waters cascade
The people dance spring is come
And the wise are wiser, the slumber is at end.

The summer is hot and dust abound,
The road is long and without wend,
All take a siesta on the mound,
And the traveler lone, moves for the bend at the end.

The scriptures had a name and I became Eve,
The ancients often worshiped me,
The wise sealed lips in front of me,
The wisdom that mystics think of me
To Hindus I am Kali and Parvati too,
Yet I love and bear the lovers too,
I am a woman with beauty and brains,
And a worrier riding equine manes,
The mountain song and the Dolphin of the blue sea,
And Honey bee kissing the bosoms of Rose beauty,
I am the one with all these graces,
And I bring happiness to all new faces,
Does it matter what I am now and then
As my Gaya relaxes like perfect Zen.

The day I went to knock on the wall,
I found the door open to all,
"Come step inside the den" came a voice within,
"Seek the Eternal One He is not Hidden".

Here comes the rain..
To nourish the thirsty and the waiting seed,
& cool the brow of those who don't heed,
Washing away all the worry.

This is the corner,
Where corners are sought,
Where tongue becomes silent
And heart starts to talk.

The voices in my head,
Came to a sudden end,
The moment I gave them a shape,
On a single forgotten track.

Where from comes the sun,
comes the rain too,
The cradle that comforts you,
has a place to feed you too.

Some fools never learn,
Some wise ones never show,
While sages keep hot their urn,
The fruit laden bough bends so low.

For all belong to thee O' my Master,
I need thy grace O' my Father.

My face is wrought with sins thou forbade my Master,
I need thy grace to keep my honor,
Without it I will be a dishonor,
Bless thy grace on me O’ my eternal Father.

It is Thy speck that breaths in me,
It is Thy soul that flows through me
From the beginning to the end all is Thee,
Shower me your grace it will be honor for me.

Thou is the beginning and the end,
At Thy feet I lay my head at the end.

Ship..

I sail my ship with proud plume of a sail,
On seas, deep blue and often brewing fiery gale,

The bow is of steel and the deck shines like peacock’s tail,
It has its magic and pure love full in its golden grail.

Through different lands I put my furling proud white sails,
And from all ports get glances as if intended for rising gale,

Moon my friend in the lofty night with stars shining above so bright,
Together we play and sing while twinkling diamonds keep  the vigil with their light.

Our song is love that fills my heart with soothing delight,
Till dawn thrusts its golden swords with full might,

And lo a new morn comes sending the ghosts away with its shining light,
For after the dark of the night the day is always bright,

The bow may tremble with fiery gales and sails may flutter with winds so light,
But then the shore looms near and all fear is a past blight,

The sea embraces the shore as if sleeping in its core,
Gently lapping the cheeks of its sandy shores,

Time is still abroad my ship Serenity,
She is my friend and I her lone rider in tranquility,

My muses I muse on her deck at night,
While she rides on the waves high to the oceans delight,

Deep in the ocean lies the shining Golden Pearl,
Whoso ever dives deep finds it in its curl.

And then the time is no more neither ship nor shore,
Believe me my friends it is no folklore,

Thus, is the journey of Serenity,
Its name all a wise tranquility,

If you wear a necklace of love, and heart is pure as innocent dove,
You will say what has been said is not a hearsay now.

High in the sky, silently I float,
The mountains tear and shear my grace,
Torment myself, and I bring rain,
To nourish the ground, to sprout the seed.

The golden Sun and the emerald ocean,
Together they brew the magnificent potion,
Upon the azure bed with no motion
Till I prime to burst with emotion.

From whence I come, thence I go
My life is this, and happily so
All this been my destiny lo,
From whence I do not care to know...!

What Am I..

I am the dust, stuck to thy soles,
And wherever thou travel, there it goes,
No more no less, still I am yours,
It is now all that matters.

Me I belong to thee,
It is I know and what I see.
And when you smile, The smile is for me,
I know it, for the smile is me.

Since the moment, You offered me the cup of Ale,
There is a restlessness inside of me like that of un-abating gale,
Is this what they call love or when there is no veil,
Does it matter now that You have set my sail.

With each breath I breath your name,
I do not know but it is now my mane,
With each beat of my heart,
I feel as I am of your lot.

For the eve to come, I eagerly await,
To till my ship and happily sail,
In waters calm and free of gale,
To the land of Eternity, to the land of Divine realm.

These two words you whispered to me,
lit my inside just like a pyre.
Without any smoke and dancing flame,
Tel me what is this change, what is its name?

With every breath I breathe your name,
The breath so sweet but full of your love aflame,
It burns me down to ashes with its azure flame,
Till there is only you and your lonely name.

The words come to lips of their own,
The moment I see rose on your face,
And the fragrance sends me to lands unknown,
Such is the charm of your grace.

Stuttering bishop that I had been,
Till 'Sheikh Ali' orbed my soul with eyes so keen,
I lost my tongue and silence prevailed,
Now you see Leo as if lamb revealed.

For now you are asleep like before,

Why should I complain when it is His give,
So let us not worry about mansions and palaces,

It is only the deeds you do,

Till morning hour we will solve the riddle,
While you soak and make me sizzle,
Together my love till it's late.

Some may say that love isn't everything
But then I know they know of it nothing,
Pure as truth and infinite in everything
Love is all and nothing beyond its wings.

My Vale Tells a Tale...
MY POEM..

'The King Sold the Kingdom,
The Old Con sold them too,
The son made a deal,
And sold the wood and water too,
Thither came a time,
When the flock were afraid to woo,
But then they were patient with misery and woe,
The time passed and the land grew old,
The cons grew and became so bold,
They robbed the land and its treasure tow,
Treated the flock as if they were sheep and buffalo,
They still dragged and falsely bragged,
About the unworthy of their assets,
The Creator was angry for ill-treating His Gaya,
He sent His fury and all got washed up,
The cons had flown to the higher ground,
And when all was clear and Sun came up,
They emerged like tubers as if sprouted from the ground,
The Seer sees it all, with the eyes of All Seeing,
The time will come sure will come,
When all this will be undone.
We will see, surely will see,
But till then..Let them have fun."

Walk Tall..

Walk Tall my child walk tall,
The vultures will soon be gone..walk tall,
This razed land knows its blood in the fall,
As it imbibed the pious juice in its ***** afterall,
The tears that roll down from your aspen eyes,
Will nourish many a thristy soul that silently cries,
How will we forget the enemy that came,
And our own brethern of doubious fame,
That tore our home and stole our land,
And backed us to our last stand..
The time will come when it will be over,
And the sun will shine in the morning hour,
So be ready my little one,
Thou are sure the chosen one,
You have to rule these meadows and all,
So walk Tall..walk tall walk tall.

Flowers...

There are flowers in my garden,
They are beauty par beauty,
Every morn I touch their silken lips,
Every eve I smell their adorable tips
I know they never sleep nor slumber,
For they are here to nurture the Nature,
They see things none can tell,
Yet they never do swell,
In their bloom they tell a tale,
That every gardener knows under his veil,
Their simple beauty tells us all,
Be with the One who creates this all
It is His way of showing his nature
It is all the jubilation,
No I, no we, but all His celebration.

I Will Survive..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
I Will Survive...

You may curb my voice against your tyrant crown
And beat me blue or blood brown
You may strike my body down
And tear it into shreds & yet not frown
I ‘ve survived many such strokes by cruel crown
I will survive ..I’ve survived…I always will survive.

Whatever act you may pass on myself,
or take the job from my poor self
or may play with my family like cruel elf
Yet my resolve is like pillars of resilient cliff
Overlooking your treacherous weak self..
I will survive …I will survive.

My poor brethren and my poor kids
Made to shut their eyes and shouting lips
By your pellets and by draconian acts
And they shed their innocence like blooming tulips

Yet my resolve never weakened by your dichotomous strife…
I will survive …I will survive.

How many of my children will you mime and ****
How many of my brothers you will throw over the mill
How many of my sisters you will **** and ****
How many of my mothers you will send over the frenzied hill
It will never change myself and my inner will..
I will survive …I will survive.

Many a times you have tried and often lied,
To buy myself and my self-respect, and I sighed
It hasn’t changed my resolve a bit, You lied
and cheated myself and my countrymen ready to fight.
Yet you failed and I stand my own-self & my own height.
I will survive …I survive.

You razed my land & looted my stand
You plundered my Valley just like lightning wand,
How can I forget all your bogeymen & band
Who ate up thousands of men without leaving a trace at hand,
I cannot forgive nor forget this cruel strand..
I will survive …I survive.

My children who cannot see,
Their sight & brothers taken by your killing spree,
Their mothers wailing a silent song,
They cannot forget the loss that you gave them all along
Their blossoms enduring every pain all along.
I will survive ..I will survive.

I pray for your tyranny to end,
Of course the future is round the bend,
Bright and hopeful like morning Sun,
From my ashes will arise
The sword that will strike you down.
I will survive .. I will survive...I always have.
a poem against the oppressor ...

a poem against the opressor ..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
While Kashmir Slently Weeps...!!

My meadows, mountains, and my rivers and all
Weep silently over the  slain children this fall,
Those young buds who sleep in my ***** again,
Their pious blood nourishing their mother again.

How many of my children will miss the golden Sun
As it touches the Harmukh”s  proud crown,
Their unseeing orbs telling a different tale
Their mother silently crying a silent wail.

Those silent Jaffers and treacherous Qasims,
Will see their doom as sure as hell..
And  when their times comes as it will
Even my ***** will refuse their last morsel.

I gently weep over my slain children
Who went down for liberty and freedom,
The alien on the land will have to leave
I wait for the day as sure as I believe.

O’ Allah what more I have yet to endure
How many more I am yet to nurture
The tyrant is playing his ****** games
Brewing larceny and deception in his veins.

Be ONE my children of The Vale
As only then the enemy will fail
Strike him down like tornedo gale
End his rule from my ***** dale.

This poem I penned down when small buds have been killed and turned blind by the oppressor. I have seen enough blood flowing on the roads...
This poem expresses the feeling of the Motherland that has been razed and bargained countless times. Even in the present times those few are repeating the same process that was carried out in the past.
These are the tears of Mother Kashmir

My Vale..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
My Vale...

I love my beautiful Vale..Kashmir
That goes by the name of Rishiware
Though razed by own and aliens for unknown sake,
It has out lived them both in its wake,
Its beauty still raw and pure,
How can they answer on the judgment day dear,
Though they don’t know it yet,
The end we will see, oh yes we shall see though not yet,
My Valley will survive these brazen brutes,
Its beauty unbound will remain uncrushed,
And that day we will watch,
Tall minarets crumbling like mist in the dark,
And the man with vision will be singing,
The long forgotten liberty song

Embrace...

“Drop by drop the rivulet formed,
Its fragrance traveling to the oceans *****,
To embrace itself the coliseum,
And to be called Union.”

Single Sin..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
Single Sin...

Ten thousand rouges and a single sin,
Till I met my beholden Kin,
And then there were no more rouges and no more sin,
Only me and my faithful Kin.

My Beloved..
Ahmed Ali Sep 2017
My Beloved...

My love is my beloved...
Rest is nothing just visions cloud..
He flames my longing like unseen pyre
And burns me down with his desire,
What am I does it matter..?
Everything is Him and He everywhere
My beloved my love
This desire too is your attire..
