Each time my heart cracks
it just opens new spaces
for love to grow back.

Your heart’s poetry
Was written on your lips
Waiting for a compliment

what ifs

what if the sky went pink
and the birds stopped their chirping
if the world stopped its turning
what if i took your hand
and pulled you closer
if i held you forever
what if i kissed you then?
just before the sun slept
before the crickets sang
and important things
began to happen?
what if
what if we had that moment
that one second
of just
us?

You shine,
brighter than the constellations.
The curve of your lips,
welcomes me home.

You are written
in the stories that
have not been told.

You lie beyond
imagination
in the realm
of nothingness.

Lie beside me
and let us create
the untold stories.

Let immortality
be our poetry,
the novels, the prose.

Let steam rise
and tantalise
every mind
from every page,
and every pore.

Your body, is a city. Your skin, winding streets I loose myself in.

i’ve never known
something so fragile

i hold whatever this is
(you and i)
carefully,
with both hands

like glass,
it could shatter

the pieces
scattered

while i tiptoe
around the sharp fragments

trying to not let them
hurt me

like snow,
it melts

when the sun
comes up

to heat
the ground

and every time
i wish it’d stay

i hope my heart
will not become
like broken glass

i hope,
unlike snow
on a warm winter day,
you will decide
to never leave me

Candle

The smell of a candle
reminds me that I’m still here,
and I’m perfectly okay with that.
