Uncertainty

Was ever there a plague
Quite like uncertainty?

Where yes would be preferred,
No would not prove absurd,
For the matter would be done,
While now it hangs unsung.

To toss and fret so long
Is devilishly wrong.
Such ambiguity
Can whittle sanity.

How nothing proves deadly
Quite like uncertainty.

there's always that phase in life that we never get used to.
like a favorite song, we rewind it and let the notes break us.

fit in

A puzzle piece doesn't fit
into a place that isn't theirs

So stop
Trying to fit
Into places you don't
Belong
Stop
Trying to squeeze
Into spaces you don't
Fit in
Stop
Altering yourself;
Cutting,
Trimming,
The pieces that make
You
Just to fit into skin
That isn't
Yours

Because no matter how hard you try

A puzzle piece never fits
into a place that isn't theirs

Believe me,
I've tried
be yourself <33

you are the stillness
in my life

sanctuary

while all around the world rages

granite
the hardest rock
strongest foundation

I have clung here for safety
warmth and love
immeasurably given
gratefully received

HIM
He was imperfect
He was young
She loved him
She was crazy
She wasn’t so pretty
He loved her

He had doubts
He had challenges
She loved him
She was naïve
She was carefree
He loved her

He was smart
He was cute
She loved him
She got brains
She had talent
He loved her

He lied
He cheated
She loved him
He became rude
He was difficult
She loved him

He was scared
He was reckless
She cared
He was arrogant
He was insensitive
She was hurt

He ignored her
He hurt her more
She became different
He cheated more
He cheated carelessly
She ignored him

He became scarce
He cut off ties
She survived
He was addicted
He was pitiful
She had empathy

He fell
She brought him up
He got sick
She nursed him to health
She slipped
He didn’t catch her
He got into trouble
She turned her back on him

He wanted her back
She didn’t
It was too late
She felt nothing for him

She was,
A diamond he got
She was,
A diamond he lost

die while alive
lay in the ground
dig your grave
cause you won’t get away
from this place
full of grace
tell me what you feel while you are reading it

This feeling I can't describe
It stays only for a moment
In dark rooms
In cold air
Stillness
Silence
Peace perhaps
Or maybe loneliness
My thoughts stewing
Breathing like tides
Not crashing
Just flowing
The feeling leaves
