One day, I'll.let you down
I'll cast a spell so profound
And you will decay in my gaze of time
With a futile hope to lay the dime

Was it so good to be my muse
Did it consolidate your desire for a bruise
I acquired you with a lust within
And you so easily gave in for my thin

I preached and prayed to hold you tight
You became a slave to soak my light
My affinity for you was barely masked
You never denied for all I asked

And now I lay here, tore in shadows
I had let me thought what comes never goes
You held it right, when your will was tested
But you let it pass, when your affliction rested

For how long did I tame you rough
I didn't let you see any exemplary or enough
The war was lost, my grant repealed
When I saw the ghost of the lips that were sealed.
Sometimes I feel my poems are direct outliers of what has been put upon. This one describes what should've been felt by someone who had so subtly, so elegantly, ripped pieces of us apart.

Do we break
Or brake
I think its been too long, now
They're synonymous
With pain
So I'll drive
Right off this cliff

Honesty is so freeing
but so terrifying

Like bungee jumping,
with the pure sweet adrenaline
pumping through your bones
telling you you'll be okay,
you'll be okay,

You're okay.

That's why
I'm still wavering
on the edge of the cliff
feeling the tight straps around my legs,
knowing I will be caught
when I fall
but still seeing the
thousand foot drop beneath me.

I opened a door in the cosmos
and was swallowed, ensconced
by the darkness that followed.

Euphoric,
there you were
Phantasmagoric and sidereal;
I find I'm beside myself.

Come along and freefall with me
At the end of times
O'er the cliffs of nigh
We'll aspire to fire into spirals of nebulous unknown.

I've always kept this parachute.
This protective layer surrounding me.
Catching me as I fall, and keeping me safe from harm.

But now there's you-
Every minute we spend together pokes a hole in my parachute.
Each hole representing such a happy memory.
A poke for every laugh
For every soft word whispered
For every time I watched your eyes crinkle with that cute smile of yours.

So many holes- my parachute is starting to fail me.
I'm going defenseless.
You're destroying that protective layer.
I'm going into a free fall-

It's the most thrilling ride of all
And I could not be happier.
I've never fallen for someone so quickly, or so hard.

He stands on the edge,
Looking at the world in front of him.
He takes a deep breath
And slowly, he steps off.
He's falling to the world below.
Falling
Falling
Falling
.........
He gently touches the ground.
He looks up,
And feels the rush run through his body.
He closes his eyes and let's the fresh air touch his face,
And it's where he wants to be.
I don't know. Just something I wrote this morning. It's rough and needs work. Just felt like sharing.
