In a moment of silence and solitude,
I stand dumfounded in my inner being,
Unable to understand
this life's turmoil.

What to say, what to do?
And above all how to move?
Lost in the labyrinths of my mind.
Oh merciful Lord take pity on us,
Bestow grace, in our hour of entanglements.

In your kaleidoscope eyes i found a bitter surprise.
A world filled with regrets and goodbyes.
You laid eyes on me with your shattered sights and told me my aura burned forever bright.
But truthfully my heart was a car crash in the dead of night:
    -Broken windows for eyes.
-Faulty headlights like my line of sight.
-Broken gaskets like my wounded heart.
-Sputtering fuel lines like the veins running through my arms.
    -Radio blaring The Pretty Reckless.
    -Aura burning.
    -Aura Dimming.
    -Car swimming.
-Amount of oxygen in the air thinning.
You thought you knew me. Could see me clearly. But you had kaleidoscope eyes and it shouldn't have come as a surprise when you failed like all the rest, left dumfounded as a deer in headlights in the dead of night.
not often do you meet
true gentlemen
perchance two of this kind
I met on Hello Poetry

it has dumfounded me
to see them no longer here
for they were genuinely
courteous and well mannered
indeed

Beryl Dov The ******* Rabbi
a noble guy
his satirical verses
I did heartily enjoy reading
no finer writer
of this ply

WolfSpirit
ever polite and friendly
he supported
his fellow poets
and wrote
from the heart

I'll always have a good word for both of them
kosher
these
gentlemen

we went to that place, that
vulnerable oasis, where
lovers are nursed
and destroyed;
that march evening
coolness mesmerized by
the silence, by the pure plant,
by the bass in that song
echoed between my thighs

the poems are conceived
in my mouth, on my tongue,
my taste buds
prance around your skin
like honeybees,
your eyes seek perennial
poignancy
and dumfounded i open
myself like a rose

Radiator fluid was everywhere,
vultures circled high overhead,
so I put my head on a swivel
& did not see a single car in sight.

The twin black ribbons
disappeared into the horizon
& temperatures were
well above the 100-degree mark
when I stuck my thumb out.

Then from out of nowhere,
a cherry red Corvette cruised up
with the foxiest driver I'd ever seen,
I mean she was a knockout,
a raging beauty!

She took one look at me
& hit the pedal to the metal,
took off like a spaceship,
a bat out of hell.

I was dumfounded,
but eventually I figured,
it must had been the thumb,
it made me look like a ***
& no real lady
needs to give a ***
a ride to anywhere.
