Praeludium in via ...

Vidi heri mane quando ridebam coloribus egregiis,
Eradere auro , trans tabula caeli , tentorium ...
Excelsus super omnes montes mundi mole fratres
Nimborum desertum , ubi non sit humana exsuscitatur .
Et non vidi nobili altitudo futura ...
Bonitas terribilis Vidi , *** indomitus.
Ipsos victu pascuntur finguntur mendacii .
Proelia ante hos annos multos, in carne nostra, amissis vate sacro .
Nos sequi vestigia veterum monumentis, ut ostensum est ;
Latebunt , quo melius in manifesto , vultus ingenio tegmina.
Ego sum primus , et consilium ... Memini tamen alta urantur
Humanis uti licet , *** aliena michi negotium.
Lorem quid ad ignorantiam et extra ,
Quia vidisti me in tenebris, in ardentem rogum meum .

Prologus : ( Os meum labitur )

Puer fui servus ad aras tam sacras ,
Hymnis immaculatorum : et absque iniquitate .
Quod *** ipse portabat diadema thons nudus ...
Expositum Spiritus meus, qui intellexi gravitatem.
Quis credit sanctum profanae habitu virtutum
Et filii eorum diriperent pueritia , vinctus catenis rudis .
Sicut teenager : ambulans in naturis hominum omnium adprobante ,
Et egressus est a me omnes, qui violatores extiterunt in coinquinatione verebatur .
Angelo fidem reperto cecidi inveni sanctitati
Traiectus mortalis caro mea reliquit me solum in sanguinem ,
Admonens quia carnis mortalitate ... maxime
Nox deinde calor intensior saunas percipimus ...
Quod amari posco sum ut carbo margarita alba et nigra ;

Ne revoces me pupa enim priscis recesserunt cavernam

Serpentipedi mucrone subrecto , remittit praecise a pupa in collo ,

Ut curem hominem a superioribus agentibus , corpus totum mundum.
Infra in concavis locorum asperitate visa petram
Magna voces resonare in tenebras , et vocavit nomen tacuit.
Eripuit animam trahit nauta Multo gregis
Ubi aereum reddet unicuique antiquum signum desideratum .
Porcellana , et liberatus a vinculis mortis obscuris sentiat frigore ;
Animas in captivitate , unde nemo mortalium loqui
Signati post fata diu Quod murus ignis in Terra ,
Nam et ego quod negas , nisi aspera ac rudia mei liberatione ;
Angelus liberavit me , et nunc inter saevus sigillum frangere conantur .

Dr Peter Lim Jan 2021
I will tread gently
and slowly
poetry dislikes poets
in too much hurry
Everything I once knew has been stilled:

I fathomed my mother’s voice whispering
In my juvenescence,
She weaved a tapestry of tales
Whilst her pearlescent eyes
They glistened,
Enveloped by downy lashes
Ebony and yet unassuming
For
The night domineered.
Unblemished enough to
Garner the praise
In the clarity of
My reverential heart,
As I lay there
Tucked in,
Once peacefully,
Yet now shaken
By
The disquietude
Of the restless twilight,
Upon an azure king-sized mattress
Primped in creaseless Space Jam sheets.

They were set by
The grace of her manicured hands
However slightly,
Chestnut and replete
That longed to,
By the Blessed Oracle
Speaking with a God,
Summon the Salvation
Of my long lost rest
That Raged Leviathan
Where,
To be cocooned in The Sea of Shadows
The thew of dreams would be born.

She sanctified my fears
Like coal oppressed for aeons
By
That Treasured Sphere
(Terraqueous Gaia)
Until by
The Womb of the Mountainous Mother,
Were reborn
As the Children of Diamonds.

Or perhaps
Like a baptismal kiss
That floweth from an ivory chalice
By which
The soil of my life flowered,
For a quaked youth was
Bestowed
With a fading taste
Of the transcendence at dawn
Poured upon my palate
Until
The Garden of the Valiant
Bursted into bloom.
(Tis where the Behemoth lay nestled
Under the Age Old Tree of Life
And Sylphs soar beneath iridescent twilit skies
Illuminated by Providence
Of the Half-Faced Crimson Moon).

If I so chose
I could
Be anything
That
I imagined, even
Today.

Ephemeral though
Those moments were
My reminiscence
Doth memorialize in crystal stasis
My infantile longing,
Tis ceaseless in its yearning
To be comforted
When
Pangs overtake me:

But what fable is my weapon
Now?
The Hallowed Excalibur,
Or perhaps even The Ultima Weapon
With the Impenetrable Aegis
Imparted by
The Mighty Crystal
Bestowing might to its Anointed
The ones who war with their own iniquity,
Until their paths align
Like celestial bodies
And they’ve arisen triumphant,
Eclipsed the fictitious light
Of a false deity
Who besmirched the truths
That upheld The Cosmos
Since its genesis?

There is one tale,
(Lean in, listen closely,
This is my Susurrus in the Night)
Tis no figment
And one I found most favorable,
One of a man
Simple,
Strong,
Stunning,
Sound,
Sapient,
And high over all but
The Desideratum of the Holy,
The one to whom
Even the angels, seraphs, and cherubs bow.

He was scourged
In flesh and spirit
Till his pulse was silenced,
His inestimable blood
Prophesied to vanquish
Chaos and
The Futile Wind
Of life
That by
By the disobedience of
Our
Tarnished Father,
Is now
An accursed child

She
Is effaced by
Time
(For Sorrow has no end)
And
Tormented by Space.
(Height,
Breadth,
And depth,
O that Existential Fabric)
His caverns
Condemned Her
Without
Compassion.

The thought of solitude
Looming in mortality
Were the dreadful horns
Of an Auroch that
Pierced
Her consciousness
Until by
Proud Oppression
Hope
In its frailty
Was a dandelion
Strewn by skinless hands
Against the immaterial
Brush of the breeze.

To flourish then
Wither,
Wax and
Wane;
Never
Was a fate
That our God intended.
For eternity shines and
Is a supernova
In the galaxy of our hearts
And though undiscerned
By many
Has always been
And
Will always be
The Cherished Wish of the Stars,
For though we are an exhalation
By contradistinction,
Even they become nebulous
Fading into dust.

We shall
Become
Exalted and ennobled
Even to these who are
Of the luminaries,
Lowly
Brothers and sisters
Without Ears,
Eyes,
Hearts,
Or minds.

Yes,
(These vibrations resonate from the Cosmo-Plexus of Love)
Soon enough they say,
Soon enough.
Hey guys, this poem is written as a thematic embodiment of a religious-based autobiographical piece I am in the process of assembling (It will be a metaphorical interlude if you will in between two segments of the piece and thus act as a segue). It was written as a free-verse piece. I have not written in about a month which has given me time to reflect and introspectively examine the Universe around me; consequently, I hope that you guys can perceive my metamorphosis in my month long cocooning as a writer. I wanted to encapsulate the whimsicality, fancifulness, and innocence of youth by incorporating myth, imagery, and imagination (almost reminiscent of a fairy-tale whispered to a child before bed, hence the title "A Susurrus in the Night"). I kind of rushed putting this out because I was so eager to share with you guys, so forgive me if it's not as refined as my usual writings. *Since posting I have edited it on this website* I this does not convolute and thus make it less understandable! I have so much to say through this piece! Thank you so much for your support and God bless!

It would be a new beginning
when the vain-glorious self is set aside
  the ego evaporates into nothing
  with the demise of pride.

A fresh life would be waiting
beauty enters the heart to abide
in the fusion of love enduring
  is there any wanting beside?

Desiderata

— things wanted or needed; the plural of desideratum: “Happily-ever-after” and “eternal love” appear to be the desiderata of the current generation"

Your stream of drops
Enters my
Conscious Heart,
and is
Absorbed, removed.

Let me feed you
Rich words
Whose taste will linger
Long after rich foods
Flee, leaving only
Emptiness of calories
That will burn you.

Better than hugs,
These words are yours
Forever,
Yours, embracing,
Forever.

Your pain is absorbed
In the sponge of this
Poem of caring, a
Tissue of shoulders to be
Cried upon.

Until this day is over,
Until tomorrow when
Up you stand,
Eyes no longer red,
Determination ruling,
Be better,
The only face you will wear,
Until then,
These words, are yours
Now,
Tomorrow and forever.

Cloak yourself in them
When the invaders attack,
Wrap yourself in their armor,
As often as needed.

No one can ever take them
From you,
No one can touch
Them like
You can.
For they live in the human warmth,
In the centre of you,
Where the day's soul soils
Cannot ever reach,
For they are
Kitty's Desiderata.

Why would I want to be ahead of others?
with none I strive
I have too many problems of my own-
with myself I struggle all my life

even if the whole wide world were mine
and I were ahead of everyone
I would be nothing and am empty if I belong
not to myself and would come undone

If you are defeated,
Fall victim to desideratum;
You should achieve. Together
We can consummate your
Greatest accomplishments as
We take account of others' deeds.

If you are lonely,
Find yourself forlorn;
You can find company in me
To be not so lonesome.
Together we will be where we belong.

If you are ill,
Stricken with disease;
We can cope with the mortal glow
of your grin as pestilent germs
Infect our infectious yearning.

If you are hungry,
Starved with empty and lack;
You should eat.
And if you are tired,
You should sleep.

I just want what I want, when I want it
Why is that so much to ask

A love in his place
A need to be his Goddess
A desire to be fulfilled

I just want what I want, when I want it
Why is that too much to ask

I would sell myself a bill of goods
Before I would ever inveigh
The babble
That some-have the chutz-puh
To accept as some obscure
Personal quest
That they must compel
Themselves to fulfill
As the Tower Of Babel was
To the intrangient zealots
As they go about
Invoking invidiousness
Binging on the intoxicating inversion
Of partisan  opinionativeness
Quoting as they go
"Do unto me not as I do unto you"
When... In a chronometric second
Any possible bipartisan thoughts
That they may truly possess
Has passed through their cinderblock brain
Like the ray of light
On a birefringent trajectory
Unable to acknowledge or accept either one
As the refracting action
Accentuates the intolerance
Invalidating  them for
The total lack
Of introspection
Resulting from the
Total absence
Of any biological binder
That on any level would ever
Allow even the slightest sprig
Of libertarian thought
To escape deracination
Slamming the lid tightly
In hopes that noone  would see
The dividends that grow from
The derivation as a desideratum

People who can't see it

         pave kindness on your way

         be the unseen sorrow-healer
* I mentally wrote this yesterday while having my daily afternoon-walk

Silence and solitude

      leads to the highest altitude
natalie anderson Aug 2014
How many times
do I have to look up begging to know why
My prayers and pleas screaming and thrashing against my fracturing hemorrhaged consciousness
As tears surge out my eyes

how many times
do I have to lay here abandoned
Your touch your warmth your comfort an undeniable desideratum
When you're ice cold right next to me refusing to acknowledge me.

I start to inwardly convulse and collapse
I want to scream
I can feel myself fracture, shatter and rupture.

I want to smear my own ****** handprints over my face and tear out my hair
Lay down on the floor bleeding,  pumping direct out my heart
My love my sorrow my fears and my heartbreak, a thick miasma.

How many times
do I have to implore the moon not to take you away from me
even as I'm Told and Assured I'm Unwanted,
Leaving is an incomprehensible, inconceivable, fantastical CONCEPT
The horror and the fear and the pain at the thought overcomes and overwhelms me like dismal leaden shroud.

My fingers itch for a blade
to come do the work
To etch on my arms
Red vivid proof that I'm hurt

How many times
I don't want to die but I beg for death
I plead with the Man as he refutes me with every Un breath
I beat on his chest telling him I can't go on
Not without you, without you a moment would be too long.

No matter how many times I tell myself that I can't love you.
You can just look into my eyes.
See that I lie when I try to hide it inside.
Not knowing what I want in life or where it will lead to.
Only knowing I want you and it always leads me back to you.
Yet, I try.
Try to keep it inside.
Internal demons ripping at my flesh. Permeating my sides. Filling me with distress, yet, it's nothing compared to this feeling of desideratum.
Every time I try to not feel the way I do.
My thoughts always rush back to you.

I'll cling to the life of feeling
there's too much constraint in thinking
the heart should be ever unfolding
too much ruminating is beauty's sad demising
Dr Peter Lim Mar 2019
If it were desired
with myself I would start
the world has its own business
it cares not for my living-art---

life's mysteries I can't grasp
I hold most dearly to my own heart
despite every uncertainty and hardship
from acceptance and patience I would never part.

I will not be anyone's favourite

enslavement that would be

my silent and humble self I will celebrate

there's no other way to be happy
Dr Peter Lim Jul 2021
We can't be diminished
by any outside force
unless our essentiality we relinquish
or give up our moral cause
Dr Peter Lim Nov 2019
It should be enough
life is stronger than rancour
discard the ugly stuff
dwell in the sunshine of splendour--

hearts that are tender, how they laugh
embrace truth and beauty in every wonder
meekness finds its way through terrains most rough
to utmost humility we should readily surrender
Dr Peter Lim Aug 2021
To the innocence

of my childhood I should return

every adult experience

leaves nothing much to learn

When you tire of chasing
that dream - out of reach.
When disappointments flow
and friendships - breach.
Tired or lonely
missing that one and only.....
I can't ease your desideratum,
but just for tonight I'll be your adytum.....
(translation:  I may not be the one you want, but for now, I'm the one you need....)
Dr Peter Lim Feb 2021
I do not get up in the morning saying to myself:

I will win.

Silly statement!

Winning what?

Am I exceptional and better than others?

And what I claim at the end of the day as winning might just be fantasy, hubris or pure nonsense!

I should rather say:

Walk gently into the day, be silent and unseen, know your station, perform your duty diligently, mind your own business, let others be, they have their roles to play too, let conscience, patience, humility and compassion be your guide, be kind to yourself, think not of material gain but of value and meaning, accept the setbacks and disappointments of the day, don't attribute blame to anyone, accept and acknowledge your failings and mistakes without bitterness, lend a helping hand to those in need, never seeking thanks in return--and when the day is done,  be grateful that you have been blessed with the gift of life and given the opportunity to participate with your fellow-beings in creating a better and happier world--

in this you will come to realise that life is about giving and not winning.

I would rather
be a useful something
than a worthless assemblage
of a thousand and one thing

I choose no route
only that which helps
me to find the truth

These hiatus burgeons daily.
The air parches constantly.
The music we heard together is no more music.
The bread we broke together tastes
No more than bread.
All desolate, for your beauty died.
I saw your hands hold the glass
Waggled my heart stir with desideratum
A requisition I lost at the sight of your
Beauty that died.
Dr Peter Lim Mar 2020
Let your poem
calm the sea
let its refrain
echo in every tree-

let your heart
embrace the entire  universe
in its worship
pain and sorrow heal and nurse-

let truth be your religion
your voice a clarion-call
to dignity, hope and compassion
a message of comfort for all-

let love sing unto the sky
let beauty every corner adorn
let every ugliness fade and die
to humanity each os us is born.
