Meera
to be needed by everyone
but wanted by none
if i disappear tomorrow the only thing you'd probably miss is a clean house
Maybe it's enough to dance by yourself near the sea.
They say when you love someone else,
It's simply reflecting your being,
And here you dance with me.
||In solitude I find you,
And in loneliness seek,
Fewer rainy days where rocks are thrown at the sea.
Yet there are too many stones underneath,
That keep you from me.
Too many cuts on these hands,
To hold yours in the deep.
||Though I try,
To shift while you shift.
Reflect how you reflect,
Miss what you miss,
By the moon's light.

they come from all the words
left unsaid in our heads
blood from all the swords
bleach the paper red

they come from all the songs
left unsung in/at our wakes
from all our deathbed wrongs
till death do us part (for our sake?)

they come from all the paintings
left undone, hung upside down
stabbed into the wall, only waiting
for us to make our rounds

where do poems come from?
they come from us, to you
from you, to us,
from you, to you.
This community amazes me again and again. I love it here.
Heaven rained on me,
I breathed in the petrichor,
Bathed in the downpour.
I have sinned,
So destroy me,
With your rain.

When I am sad
I get quiet

simple

Shake a little
on the inside
leaking to my hands

I get sad a lot
Hands shaking so I can barely write
Off somewhere inside
to some distraction
computer, ****, sleep, TV

There are no veins to open
words to fight
drugs to fix

Dying has a long-term contract

When I get sad
I get quiet

simple
