The X-Rhymes
there’s no nerve he won’t wrack
when reflected in glass
and he’s there looking back
from the windows I pass
turns my calm to unease
with his smell of ill health
he’s the walking disease
who's infected himself
and he sits by my wife
eating lunch with my kid
like a part of their life
that is usually hid
and I watch them lean in
on each word he spoke
and he gives me this grin
like it's all a big joke
so I show him some anger
I let it all free
say 'hey doppelgänger,
don't doppelgäng me!'
and I shoo him away
like he has leprosy
not before he can say
'I am you, me and we'
now he’s lying in wait
while his power accrues
if I dissociate
then he’ll walk in my shoes
so I have to prepare
as he’s bound to return
any time, anywhere
that's the first thing you learn.
I remember this happening.

Two souls wrapped together
in seasons and all kinds of weather
here we are these precious three
you me and one we can’t see.

Making our path, finding our road,
through our hearts a river flowed
a torrent of love and wild romance.
We tripped, but we danced our dance.

Your big brown eyes held my gaze
we talked and tried in a thousand ways
to merge as we fought and sought a third one
we drifted and flew from planet to comet to sun.

Where we were going we did not know
we ran fast at first but now… we walk slow
our speed or height mattered less to us
than building together a bond of trust.

So we’ve yet another adventure ahead.
All those years ago when we wed
we didn’t know the privilege we’d share
from solid earth to now in mid air.

We’ve smelled frangipani and cactus flower
sung sadness and joy and hymns of power.
From three threads together we’ve spun
a beautiful, sturdy cord of one.
To my beautiful wife, our marriage and journey of love with our higher power, as we embark of another adventure through challenges of health and spirit.

The moon
finally burst
into a confetti
of a thousand tatters…

And as the waters
held their breaths,
once playful waves
sink into an unlit night’s
slumber…

And the tides
lost their reason
to visit my shores.
We’re real close to the bakery
They’re practically our neighbor
I go there almost every day
They’re moments that I savor
I have some coffee and some toast
I like their coffee more than most
They’re always pleasant
Kind, and sweet
And they always keep an empty seat

In the underlying layers of green
The perennials begin to dream
In the dying scent that sweeps the air
The autumn showing signs of wear
Between a dying rose and being caught
In an eclectic mix of design and thought

It is cold outside
as winter overtakes fall
the room has a chill
but then sipping my coffee
the rich brown liquid takes hold of me
and the fields of a foreign land
gather in my mouth
I hear the shouts and laughter
of the workers harvesting the beans
I poke my finger into the soil
and Earth fills me with gratitude
for its fruits
and its glorious life.

Ah! Nothing like hot coffee in the morning.
I sigh. I smile. Life is good here now.

I walk these woods
watch suns rise and rains fall
the hound at my heel is friendlier than I
she greets others as long lost
time and again
I soak up her joy
a nose touched
a bow made
at leash ends
humans smile and nod
or exclaim
at birds songs
the river’s rush
a canine confidant
tomorrow we will meet again
Your
thoughts
Seem            warm,
thinking      all      about me.
Run in the endless snow as, our
noses both love to do the running too.
Lets both be going down the cold mountain
of life' valley of fate & dreams. Darling, we then
would go riding down the valley' despair and ski.
Kept warm by a kiss  of flames under my breath.
The  sun  is  covered by  clouds,  but  a  son like,
me, can take up the work. Only put me on; and;
consider my warmth. As  in  winter;  humbled
warm words fill you up with warm worth.
I'll be your frozen tear drop of joy.
