Her lips they part like oceans do
Her hair sways with the wind
You sit and deliberate in your thoughts
Will I see her again?

Her laugh echoes like thunder storms
Her smile strikes like lightning
You sit and ponder in your brain
Do I love her or is she frightening?

Her heart it beats like music thumps
Her words they flow like poems
You sit and contemplate all alone
Can your rhythm mimic her tones?

Her talk reminds you of telephones
Always ringing in your ear
You sit and scrutinize to yourself
Why isn’t this all clear?

Born
So what happens after we fall in love
then I tell you stories
The ones that are invisible to the eyes of many

Then I grew old and reminisced on my weary love aches
the ones that got you here

Once upon a time the moon was brighter than the sun
now that's how you begin a love story
then I tell you about the daring ghosts

But first love her most
your mother
the months of agony are irreplaceable, priceless

My child
Love is real
you float like a feather
Then when you find your person
be sure to tell your kids that
Love is Life

bones
Please will
you pull
all my poems
apart
whichever way
you think
is best
I don't care
if you pull
at them gently
or hard
I just
want to be
undressed

Endless conversations with people we don’t know
Trying to hold onto something when we never had control
The perfect words at perfect times your lips do seem to speak
A fear of showing emotion is what really makes me weak
For I can say all the words that may just make you stay
I can create a masterpiece of words that may push you away
Seeing is believing, yes a stranger told me this
Now I sit and ponder words that my heart just can’t dismiss
Words are just openings that lead to so much more
Emotions bring those words to life like never known before
Endless conversations with strangers leave thoughts lingering in me
And all the words I say to them I wish to you they’d be.
