I find myself dreaming even when I am awake.
Of life and death and what they'll celebrate at my wake.
Of every death I've seen before and know what it is to feel
I cannot be, it can only be dreams, it's not real.
But what can I say but, "I hear and obey."?

There was once a priestess in the time before Exodus who spoke in defense of Israel before Pharaoh and did not cease speaking even as she was walked deep into the desert.
I know what it is to thirst.

There was once a child who loved winter and who fell through the ice.
I know what it is to drown.

There was once an elder who was learned of medicine, who had no children but saved orphans of warring towns.
I know what it is to live with purpose and die fulfilled.

So when I dream and in prayer I hear Him say
To speak as I have spoken,
To go forward without fear,
And to hear His calling to purpose.
What can I say but, "I hear and obey."?
Peace

Up on the mountain he took them: Peter John and James
And before their very eyes, their Jesus was changed
His clothes became the most dazzling white
A cloud came in and they fell down in utter fright
The true weight of God's Glory came upon them that day
As Jesus went up to the mountain to pray
The disciples were given a special peek
Something to give them strength when they were weak
It was hope, it was light, and it was profound peace
In praying, that which we receive down on our knees
We are transformed with Christ; made new and clean
And while we may never have this very scene
We can have a similar experience and feel the glory
We can, today, share in this great Gospel story
We can adore and, like candles, burn in his presence
A gift for the greatest and least, for kings and for peasants

Lord, some days we can't see you because of the shadow, and sometimes we are blinded because you are so close to us. Most of us have been blessed to have Close Encounters of the Spiritual Kind and felt the weight of your glory. The pure power of the energy and love in that moment is like a nuclear reactor. We become radioactive and sometimes even positively glow from the experience. Though it may be forgotten at times, it is still in us. In our darkest moments, help us call to mind this sunshine and cast away the doubt and fear. In your goodness, you have given us this hope of resurrection that we are longing for on Easter Sunday while we wander through the desert of trial and temptation for these forty days to obtain the true conversion and transformation. Thank you, Lord, for Close Encounters of the Spiritual Kind that bring us into the light of your presence and the weight of your glory! Amen.

I remember crying waterfalls in my bed,
struggling to get out,
and then Jesus came.
Jesus saved me.
I accepted Jesus's grace,
and i finally understood.

I sit in stillness in this silent, dark room
Lit only by candles and the soft glow from the moon
I sit before Jesus, drawn in by his gaze
My heart is filled with a silent song of praise
I can hear my heartbeat: it beats for you
How my spirit aches to be united to you
The stars above- a hundred billion tiny lights
Comfort me even on the longest of nights
In your arms you lead me through a heavenly dance
You chose me to be a part of this sacred romance
Together we glide across the celestial dance floor
I am dancing with the one whom I most adore
I am taken by a love so profound I am shaken
And when I turned away, I was not forsaken
I sit with you and watch my worries disappear
You open my eyes, and it all becomes clear
All I need, all I want, is to be right where you are
I need you so close: please be never far
I am here just to burn in your presence
To bear witness to you in life's little moments
Just once, I want to spend an evening
With my Lord, just being and receiving
Not talking, but listening not rushing, but waiting
Being filled with courage and confidence, not hesitating
I sit here and surrender my heart for you gave me your own
Spending an evening with Jesus is like nothing I have ever known
It brings me in my weakness, down upon my knees
But there is strength and peace and the whisper of a breeze
The feeling of this fleeting moment
My soul holds now and forever
A memory so powerfully potent
To strengthen it in spiritual endeavor

The cool air slips
Through the morning window
Rests its hand
On my warm neck
And passes on

Here the deep
Longing begins
That comes  with spring
The unbearable pull
That is the teasing echo
Of footsteps
Walking into mist
Always receding
Never reached

Is it the reverberation
Of an unknown guilt?
That, like peeling bells
Cupped to an ear
Die across a meadow

He is forever on the horizon
A perfect and endless
Breaking dawn
Of grief and joy

The river gathers
To squeeze
Its swollen flanks through
This narrow, peopled place
In flood, It commands
New space
Spilling
              down
                          the
                                   steps

Here
******* at railings there
Meeting again to move
As one fluid congregation
Not singing, but in prayer

I am here to marvel
Toe to edge I stand
On knotted roots
My eddying thoughts
Only half perceived
Rise like an ache
Behind the face
In the palms
Like grief
remorse
Or shame

Joining the slow march
Onward to the town
Of glass cast high in stone
Where intellect and adoration creep
My knuckles graze the walls
Now stopped by a half opened door
To examine the blood
The skin the bone
Inside, alter bound
I glimpse
The thorns, the crown

My shame is audible here
It shifts uncomfortably
Among the pew creeks
The hushed bibles
Again the thought
Clearer now
                    The feeling of apart
 The answer, half perceived

She shivers when it's not cold
She closes her eyes when she's not tired

she could move if someone just pushed her,
she could cry if someone just talked to her

and she prays to God because no one else listens,

"Lord, help me. Forgive me for all of my sins, and I pray with each passing minute
that i will get closer to you and your word."

Its the matte of eyes as they grow darker
Its the widening of the pupils matching your emotion.
And the paling of one's skin ghostly and frail
The beating of the heart from a constant drum
To a stampede of buffaloes.
Your once soft hands clam up
Anxious of the fear.

The unknown feeling from Option A
"Ignoring the problem till its a brick wall"
To Option B
"Finding the easiest way out with no complete outcome of the future"

Options A to Z are unknown.
Left to the breeze pull our hair.
But the Journey to One,
Is an everlasting Freedom.

The weight lifting from your shoulders
As not knowing
Who
What
Where
And when
You are suppose to do or be.

The Journey is a cascade of love and acceptance
As you follow the one true path
Towards God

The Journey is the ease of your fear,
The anxiety slipping out of your bones,
And the promise of another day.
Follow your Journey to the One,
Jesus

Darkness
No shadows
No light fading away.
Blinders causing only sight to be blocked.

A sudden pin drop echos as thunder rolls through you
Two options come to mind
Run
Or
Hide

Option One.
You turn
Galloping down an endless hallway
The blinders failing to warn you about the traps
Planks missing allow the path
Causing a fall worth more than your life
Walls closing in
A maze of heartache.

Option Two.
The nearest box calls for you.
You hide...
Or so you think.
A sudden boulder echo down the hall
The noise heard
But the blinders don't allow you to see
The path it's taking right at you.

The only way out
Pray.
Listen to the Lord
Ignore the boulder
The traps
And the endless thought of pain.

Obey.
He will guide you to the light.
Never let fight or flight enter your mind.
Listen to the whisper in the wind.
Watch the Movement of Light
Allow it to show the world in its true form.

Submit your faith in the Lord
For you now are his child
