Interruption creates dysfunction,
I try to stay focused but find myself distracted
When my flow state is corrupted
It causes a malfunction.

Why can't you send a message
Instead of speaking to me in person
Calling is a last resort,
I'll wait for your text.

The talking in the office is irritating.
The sound of the fax machine
Papers shuffling
Quiet is key

Headphones help me,
I feel like I'm time travelling
When I put them to use,
Please stay away from me.

She whispers, it soothes my ears
Cuddling every cord in it to freshness
Oh! What an inanimate so dear.
Can't trade nothing for
My love for her

A touch of her strand trolls my neck
Awakening my numb self to realities
I hear what's not said clear and correct
She's about the truth as they're spoken
Can't explain my love for her

When I'm blue, she's got the right words
Our bond so inseparable, like siamese
I'd take no walk without my burd
Forever together strapped to my ears
She's worth more than my love for her.

I pulsate
Fixate
On the nodding beat
Thats taking over your mind.
I feel you hanging on
To the last note that fades
Away from my grip.

I create
Animate
The vibrant scene behind your closed eyes
The million goosebumps
Riding up your arms
The silent shiver
Down your spine.

I emanate
Accentuate
The singing of strings
As your hesitant voice joins
In a burst of exuberance.

And now you pull me down hurriedly
Glancing back at the weird looks around you.
From my vantage point around your neck
I chuckle internally
And welcome the peaceful silence.
