When does it all end?
How much hasn't started yet?
Wond'ring all the while
Psych Ward Poetry
Set 6, Poem 3
LL Jun 21
ᴵ you feel the water
rising inches at a time
until you're neck-deep

ᴵᴵ you're underwater
telling yourself that you can
always hold your breath

ᴵᴵᴵ you've been under for
so long, you forgot what air
feels like in your lungs

ᴵⱽ but as the sea claims
the land every high tide — you
claimed the sea as yours

ⱽ you wake up in an
underwater castle that
you built with your hands

A change of locale
To boost your fallen morale-
A false rationale
When will you let go?
Your love is like a thorny rose.
Love means letting go.

You smiled once, and now
my thoughts bloom like spring petals
soft, endless, and yours.
For now

Pen touches paper
All I write is still your name
My heart stays the same

you know you've got it
bad
when you check your watch and
what was 10 is 2

I had a soft dream,
We were lying in the grass,
Staring at the moon.

Small white fairies dance
among the snow of the trees.
The willows applaud.

Reflections of green
temporarily broken -
ducks bathe unbothered.
