There are two types of people,
The wind and the leaf,
Guess which one am I...

I'm being blown in all different directions by this wind called life,
Destined to wilt and fall on the ground.

But I guess we're all leaves after all.
We start of as a bud, unfurling into a vibrant green leaf.
As seasons change, we turn to brilliant shades of red, orange, or yellow, before falling to the ground.

But the difference is there are those who live like the wind and those who are like me.
Who only get to rest when there's no wind,
Get peace when there's no wind,
Be in control when there's no wind,
But that's like saying when there's no wind, there's no life.
When there's no life, I'll live.
Uhm...so yeah, please don't get any ideas upon reading this. This is just how I'm feeling
Roses are red while black withers
the evening into a white death

A darker shade of blue

The stars call to me through the use of a screen,
But my curtains are closed to them really being seen.
I’m scared of the dark, the night such a fright.
I wish my heart would allow me to not fear closing my eyes.

Sleep with one eye open, praying not to die.
An eye for an eye, in this world full of lies.
I am the day walker, incapable talker, memories stalker.
Midnights death.

I am so lost, I have lost the plot.
I reach for a God, but believe only with my final breath.
The nightmare continues, an eye to a view.
Beauty in natural form, my gift anew.

So dark in my heart, but still I continue.
Poet (slash) dreamer, if only they knew,
Do you think they could tell, the Hell in which I dwell?
The love that I hold has no-one under its spell.

So I stay in silence, lips unused, closing eyelids,
Soul a darker shade of blue.

What's so scary about the sea?
The thought of no way to flee.

Endless blue on all sides,
What's all in there that hides?

We don’t know,
Something could be there to grow.

It’s a place that's so unknown,
Don’t you just feel so alone?

On the ship, with the fear to sink,
As water floods it to the brink.

Now all alone in this blue cold,
Thinking about the tales you’re told.

Of leviathans and giant squids,
That can easily tear you to bits.

Some even say we know more about space,
What do you think—Is it a scary place?

Looking at your phone, aren't you?
Well, we're watching too.

Behind you we stand and stalk,
Even if you go for a walk.

Near you at all times,
Waiting until your clock chimes.

We wait for you to rot,
Always in your blind spot.

If you turn around to look,
We savor the time we took.

Each time you think, there's somethings there,
Thats exactly were we where.

And if we can't wait anymore,
We'll slam your face against the floor.

Teeth falling, like rainfall's sound
See how much time we've found.

But for now, we bide and lie,
Watching from the corner of your eye.

I sat at night before my screen, just to browse,
There I saw him in my house.

I screamed as I looked towards the door,
Saw something crooked, a horror.

I turned on the lights and grabbed a knife,
As I pleaded for my life.

The figure was nowhere to find,
I wondered if it was my mind.

The next morning I went to work,
Wondering where it would lurk,

But then I reached a dead end,
Inside, myself but twisted and bent.

In shock I turned  and ran,
Behind me a distorted man,

He looked just like me,
As I stumbled into a tree.

With pain I see my world fade to black,
Then I awoke in a small shack.

Chained and aching, rain began to pour,
But I was inside, trapped once more.

The rain was warm and deep red,
As I felt my own blood spread.

My bones exposed, I see a smile,
The other me, pulling out a nailfile.

I heard it scratch and creak,
As more blood began to leak.

It took my skin to make its own,
While shattering bone after bone.

The last thing I saw was my face,
As I faded in that wretched place.

Birds fall silent, the ticking starts,
As shadows move to match your heart.

You know I'm close,
I'll hunt you down,
Wonder how your blood flows,
Follow through the entire town.

You stare at me and walk away,
I enjoy our twisted play.

I inch closer every time you fail,
As I follow your exact trail.

Why won't you just close your eyes?
You will be a feast for flies.

Sooner or later, you need to sleep,
Then I enter, without a peep.

Your meat makes my mouth water,
Just when I imagine the slaughter.

No one else can see,
Close your eyes on three.

One...
Oh, it will be so much fun.

Two...
I'll chase another as I chew,

Three...
Hear you whisper, "Leave me be!"

Out of your sight for just a bit,
Finally, I've made you quit.

You thought you'd be fine if you winked,
But that's not how it works; still, you blinked.

I went to the forest near my house,
There I saw a very small mouse.

She followed as I walked back home,
Then she began to roam.

I felt her presence at all times,
Watched as on the bed she climbs.

It was already late,
As I felt my powers fade.

I lay down next to her,
As everything began to blur.

I woke up and knew she was near,
Then I felt blood dripping from my ear.

"Ouch," I said, because it felt like a bite.
What happened in the night?

I searched and searched but couldn’t find,
"Where did she go?" I thought in my mind.

Crossed my arms and felt a spin,
I saw her right under my skin.
