i don't think i've shown this to you before
but today i think i will
you see, i don't tell people about this
not often at least
or not at all

not since the day
my mother laughed at me
not since the day
my father jeered with
contempt in the curl of his lip
not since the day
my friends waved me off
as delusional

it's a little tattered
and a little tarnished
i really wish that it could've looked a lot nicer
for you to see
the shine is kind of gone
but it's still really precious to me

i think i'll come with you
no, wait-
you should go alone
i'll wait for you out here and
i hope that you'll be kind

you'll see in the corner
there is a dusty box
it really isn't much
and you'll have to brush cobwebs off

and when the box is clean
like when each day shone anew
maybe you'll even get to see
the lines of ambition that carved
hope into my box of dreams
Ambition and goals in life were things I struggled with a lot because a lot of people didn't believe in me.
This poem is meant to speak for those who have had dreams and were afraid of telling others about it for fear of negative responses.

I know not
Whether I'm in love with you
Or in love with our friendship.
For you,
Are the boy who's been inhabiting my mind lately
But I must admit,
You're not the first to reside there
But I can say,
That I would not mind
If you were the last
Though I fear,
Your departure is inevitable.
But if you could remain,
I would not take it in vain.
For you're the only one
Keeping me sane.
Friendzone
Teenage Purgatory
Like a mirage of an oasis
In a sweltering desert
When they're happy
It brightens the world
When they're sad
Your world erodes
When you look at them
You see utter brilliance
Magnificence
Perfectness
But when they see you
They only see one thing:
Friend
At nightfall,
I'll sneak out
Hoping to catch
Your gleaming eyes
Staring at mine
Showing the message
My heart desires
Back when we
First laid eyes
Obviously showing
*Love at first sight
fantasy ecstasy

Reality

The light illuminates us within
Gleaming through that translucent pride
Creating an obscure spectrum that we’re in
We are all fragile inside
Waiting for the day we die

We evade at what’s real
And fallen into the dusk
We realized it’s wrong to feel
But we still believe in trust

We crave for that night
When the Moon shines as bright as the Sun
Where Shooting Stars falling everywhere in sight
Where the Milky Way pours to the ground
Where Northern Lights stays until the sunrise

We try to find what was lost
Only to be remembered by what’s present
We can’t forget yesterday’s
 remorse
Only to find out that it’s *permanent.
I procrastinate alot. To the extent of losing friends and relationships. But It's never too late to change. You have to face the truth, accept it.
Accept Reality.
And Change.
Better that every fiber crack
and fury make head,
blood drenching vivid
couch, carpet, floor
and the snake-figured almanac
vouching you are
a million green counties from here,

than to sit mute, twitching so
under prickling stars,
with stare, with curse
blackening the time
goodbyes were said, trains let go,
and I, great magnanimous fool, thus wrenched from
my one kingdom.
My thoughts are crabbed and sallow,
My tears like vinegar,
Or the bitter blinking yellow
Of an acetic star.

Tonight the caustic wind, love,
Gossips late and soon,
And I wear the wry-faced pucker of
The sour lemon moon.

While like an early summer plum,
Puny, green, and ****,
Droops upon its wizened stem
My lean, unripened heart.
"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)"

Can a poem be a dream or a dream be a poem?
Does it work that way, where one is another?
The seams between so tightly sewn
That you can’t unwind without ripping
Tearing
Destroying the simple beauty that resides within
Or are they cold and estranged
Untouching
Apart
Or are they both?
A distance so small they almost touch
Filling each others gaps
While being polar opposites
A faulty draft, nothing more
