You have heard the phrase, “Have I got a testimony”
But the ironic statement being, “Have I got a sermon”
My theme, “MAN MAKES PROMISES, BUT JESUS GIVES RESULTS”
Words tend to have power, but it is what is behind them being influenced
It is also what is established as a probably or maybe
But one who guarantees, and the other entity lacking assurance to proceed
But let’s look at the word “PROMISE”
It is an expectancy, sure thing, arrival, waiting, fulfillment and anticipation
That is man’s definition from the dictionary, but there is no guarantee nor reliability
But God’s fulfillment of the promise, he sees ahead in what you will definitely expect at the right time frame at the right moment
This is called Understanding, Believing, Praising and it is done
But your faith being a commitment as a Christian with divine honesty
As a Christian, you must truly have faith that promise will come, but with that is the praise on high with no doubting of why
Results come when one believes on Christ and questionable thoughts on man’s term
But man is short term and God is long term
Somehow the scale is in balanced because short term doesn’t last very long and God’s long term is where a Christian needs to belong
There seems to be boundaries of the promise with no clarity in what man presents
Yet God’s glory continues to represent, but it is all about praying and praying without ceasing
What holds you back in the Promise, is the negativity thoughts that keep you from seeing the promise and believing
What is it, people keep pick up a novel and read from beginning to end, but can’t time to read the bible to feed their soul and obtain knowledge
Again, understanding and promise are the keys in what we need to see
Man seems to focus on separation of man being their own elect and playing a game of place your bets in their promise
It is a win or lose theory, but now it is apparent and you must chose
But when the promise comes from God you automatically win and there is no lose
Because Praise, Joy and Blessings come as there is an obligation being a commitment of Faith
But God continues and will always say, “I am the way”
Yet man says that’s not ok
If you are depending on man with the promise and results
Think again saints
Man wants you to denounce the promise and results that God will truly provide the time is right
Don’t doubt or your promise and results will pass you by
God wants you to be patient with every try
Promise and results work hand in hand
It all comes at God’s command
Remember Man’s idea of promise and results wants you to move your hope
But man wants you to think on their promise and results because they can’t cope
God’s promise wants you to be steadfast and move forward
Your spiritual blessings will be straight line of onward
Don’t wonder where did promise and results really go
It has been God’s understanding all along and you now know.

I Promise You
Myriah Apr 2015
I can't promise you
That dark clouds
Will never hover
Over our lives Or that the future
Will bring us many rainbows .
I can't promise you that
Tomorrow will be perfect
Or that our lives will be easy.
I can promise you my everlasting
Devotion, my loyalty, my respect,
And my unconditional love for a lifetime .
I can promise you that
I'll always be here for you,
To listen and to hold your hand,
And I'll do my best to make you happy,
And make you feel loved.
I can promise you that
I can see you through a crisis
And pray with you,
  Dream with you,
   Build with you,
And always cheer you on
And encourage you.
I can promise you that
I'll willingly be your protector,
Your advisor, your counselor,
Your friend, your family,
Your everything.
I promise you
I can think of so many ways to ask you to stay. I feel like I’ve already emptied out my mason jar of them to the half-way mark. I don’t know what that means. I don’t know what anything means. I just know that you’ll never feel for me the way I feel for you. I know that you will find someone that will love you in every way you need, and I know that person may not be me. If I said the idea of that made me happy, I’d be lying. I can’t be the ever-positive ex, I can’t promise you that someone else can know the right moments to touch your back. I can’t promise you that someone else will force you to open up to them when you’re upset. I can’t promise you that they’ll be able to hold your weeping head to their chest and they’ll feel the heartbreak I did every time you cried. I can’t even promise you that you’ll wake up holding another girls hand and it feel the way it felt for me. I can only promise you things I know. I promise you that every time you hear a song off of take this to your grave you’ll remember the night we all sang those songs drunk and in love with the worst and best of each other. I promise you that when you read these things you won’t look back at them and they probably won’t really even phase you. I promise you that you’ll always do your best to get to Moe’s on Mondays for your burrito that you won’t most always don't finish. I promise you that you’ll always have the best taste in whiskey, and you will always love the playlists I make. I promise you that the sun will rise every morning just for you, and you will smoke a cigarette to welcome it. I promise you that you will wear a striped shirt at least six out of seven days of the week, and blue jeans five out of seven. I promise you that you will have a soft hum of my voice in the back of your head every time you buy a new pack of marlboro smooths, better yet I promise that you’ll never buy the 100’s because of that. I can promise you all of those things, I can promise you myself.

This is the promise that I promise you
To be here forever faithful, tried, and true
To hold you tight in all that we go through
This is the promise that I make to you

This is the promise before God and man
To give you all my all in all I am
Leaving you no doubt that I can
Keep this promise before God and man

This is the promise I will only make
Once in a lifetime for loves own sake
A promise I promise to never break
This one promise I'll take to the grave

This is the promise that I won't let go
No matter what curves life at us may throw
I thought that you might want to know
Of this promise I'll forever hold

This is the promise when time draws nigh
I will have your frail hand in mine
As we fall asleep into the other side
This is the promise that never says goodbye

I promise not to put you on the pedestal
that my parents put me on

I promise to love you unconditionally and accept whoever you are
as my parents didn't

I promise to exceed your expectations and **** myself to make you happy
as my parents don't

I promise to set a reasonable precedent, one that's equal to what we're capable of
as my parents didn't

I promise that you exist because I thought the world would be a better place with you
as my parents selfishly conceived me out of sorrow

I promise to celebrate every birthday with you and bring you breakfast in bed
as my parents left me waiting at school

I promise that I had you tested in the womb to ensure that you're healthy
as my parents didn't, because I'm sick in the head and in the body

I promise to expose you to every continent
as I am confined to this city

I promise to send you to private school only
as my parents sent me to terrible schools

I promise to make sure that you never write a list like this

I promise that I will never break these promises

I promise that your existence means something
as my meaning remains unknown

I promise that you will never feel the daggers I feel, as a result of my parents' negligence

I promise that if you ever feel alone or depressed or left behind or suicidal
I will empathize

Because this pain
is unbearable

And I promise
to NEVER inflict the life I've had
upon an innocent human being
Ignatius Hosiana Mar 2016
I am going to promise you nothing
I can't promise to walk with you forever, everyday
because life's too short, can't be certain I'll always be there
I won't promise you paradise when
I don't even know how that place looks like
I won't promise you comfort, it's not something we often find
It can't be all smiles,no, there'll be a tear
I won't promise to always face the monsters, sometimes I will fear
I can't promise I will never let go of us
even if you are in too deep and too dear
I can't promise I'll always hold you tight
Before I retire,how can I be so sure that I won't lose a fight
I won't promise you an umbrella each time it'll rain
some things we can't predict, they happen time and again
I can't promise I won't drive you crazy
there's a **** along the road I will be too distracted to see
and hit the breaks too late and you'll madly scream
"OMFG we could have died", you'll hate the bumpy ride
I can't promise I'll never break your Heart
what the Hell would I be thinking while promising you that
where would I find the guts to think you'll never get hurt?
I can't promise the road will always be straight
even rivers bend and you're not some fish I'm trying to bait
I can't promise it will always feel this awesome and perfect
we won't forever be together from Sunrise to Sunset
things will change, time is a continuum
I'm just stating facts, stuff that happens, don't be upset
Romance is a trip,we won't always have the money
that makes beginnings entertaining
we're now focused and looking forward to the adventure
imagining how colourful the ends of the promising rainbow are
wondering what awaits at every stop on our map
we've spined the globe, made up our minds and changed them
at the moment we're flexible, life's just a game
we can kick the ball this way and that way, we can afford to kiss all day
we're having a good time and it's tempting us to think we have control
I'm on the driving seat and I guide the wheels as you laugh
the car is filled with gasoline of faith and amour
crazy but I think you could kick Angels out of a beauty contest,
your heartbeat is loud enough, especially since I'm listening
and my ears are still vibrant because the centrepiece is still in place
they haven't been deafened by the many love songs we're going to play
and the wax of doubt that will collect in them overtime
the centrepiece will be eaten by termites of familiarity
and guess what, things will start falling apart
our feet are still clean,we cannot predict the dust they shall gather
the perfumes are still fresh on our Suits like the antiperspirants.
the elevators will always work, we think,
not knowing someday we will even fail to find a ladder, how sad
the wings of now, the hot *** that sends us sky high
comes with the chains of tomorrow, the responsibilities
the kids who'll make us careful while rolling in the hay and exasperated
and we'll forget the pleasures, thinking romance is exaggerated
when our minds are blocked by their wrangles and cry
that's the perspiration, that's when the muscles will start aching
that's when our freshness will be lost and we'll stink
the adventure will **** and the love left will all be but faking
Love is just a song, yes let's enjoy it while it's still hitting the waves
time comes when it'll be like the desolate Dead in their cracking graves
I'm not saying we shouldn't enjoy the moment, no
all I'm saying is we shouldn't count on the moment lasting forever
and forget the challenges awaiting at the end of the honeymoon
the burning sun at noon, the dark side of the moon
I'm not saying we shouldn't kiss violently till our young lips bleed
we should,we should feast on the moment with greed
after all nothing can stop karma from taking the lead
let's fulfill all our youthful adventurous need
let's smell the flowers before they wilt and lose their scent
explore the jungles and know how it feels like spending a night in a tent
Let's dangerously walk along the edge of the world, on the fringes
let's vigorously open new doors whilst many still bear rustless hinges
let's drink till we can not remember our names
wines and even the millet brew while our youth carries its fatal flames
for a time will come when these smooth skins shall be tucked
and these two magnetic Hearts will be ******
I just can't promise simply because now feels worth forever
happily ever after is a sugar coated and tasking endeavour
I am going to promise nothing, nothing is enough
nothing will ever be,my dear, nothing lasts forever
But I Love you forever,in case forever's a metaphor for now
Dreams and fantasy keep us intact
but if they're the centrepiece
and reality sets in
Things definitely Fall Apart
