My mother's father Grampa
was a fallen woman's champ.
Amusing drunk wicked smile
he had his fancy bow tie style.
French and sniffing all about
sows seeds of grandson doubt?
Truth with age revealed a fact.
He was just a cheap carnival act.

Too scared
Too meek
Too quiet to speak

Pushed to the edge

When the meek
Start to speak

Speak up

Don't Speak

I gave her
latitude,
took the higher
road.
Appeasement
never works.
She drank all
my whiskey
and stole my
parakeet.
The Romans bathed
naked in the
Tiber, and she
wins wars with
a smile.
Never mind the
casualties.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.
You hit us with a very big stick-
We’ll smash you with a log.
You spit on us, right in the face-
We’ll drown you in a sea of fire.
You crept up on us in the dark-
We’ll light your sky with vengeance.
You’ve bit off more than you can chew-
We’ll make you choke on your mistake.
You’ve opened up a door to Hell-
And we’ll make sure you end up there.
