only a few can see
appreciation of its beauty
unseen to most
to where it hides
its truth without a cost.
And how much is art really worth?
A bag of stickers
I've started sticking them
The back of the phone
A middle of a fan
The side of my computer
The back of my laptop
Why not?

Would I need to save them for a more special occasion?
Or use them on something of higher value?
All tossed away after death
I've started sticking them
Him
Amidst the crowd,
I try to see.
Him unknown,
a mystery to me.

Gaze met once,
a fleeting chance.
I told myself,
no mutual glance.
just felt like writing it...
Light replaced by smoke
Further obscures the statue
that white candle-glowed

Hazy, pearl-grey proof
that mystic transcendence is
not light-limited

Not just the statue
or the end of soft verses
or the white candle

It was the timing
The clear-felt coincidence
of pause and darkness

Caught in airy confluence
Secular becomes divine

little leaf, reaches for the sky.

rides the wind, hugs the sun.

dreams with a voice of love,

only knows love.

delights in simple joys.

little leaf, dreams of an ice cream cone.

(a child at play in the park.)
His dog died, mine did, too.

He was right, that's all there is to it.
He was famous, before I could read.
I need no light to know
that you are smiling.
Your hands in mine,
together in the dark.

I need no light to see
the beauty in your face,
it's locked forever in
the memory of my heart.

I need no light to guide my touch,
nor taste, nor smell,
no light to guide me within
all the treasures that are you.

I need no light.

It is merely icing on the cake,
as we make love
through the night,
into the sun break.
