Wanted, so much that you blinded  by your needs.
Needed, so much you lost on your wants.
Confused to the point you can't say don't.

In search of it.
In need of it.
Want to enjoy every touch of it.

Until you captured up in something you can't handle.
"If you live long enough in the dark,
          You can see and appreciate
                  Everything in the light"

What can one admire in a woman like you?
Of flamboyance, iridescence. Such a ravishing slew!

Is it the captivating look that stuns?
Or the jovial smile that outshines a billion suns?

How can one ask for more than a woman like you?
State all reasons, I'll refute it clean through!

A mind that's colorful, possessing thoughts so powerful.
Remembering you will remove feelings so sorrowful.

So, what's left in store for a woman like you?
Will you be coming up with something anew?

So many questions, it's such a reprise.
Well, I'll stop. I don't want to spoil your surprise
Classic; this was the first one I wrote that I remember of. Forgot where I placed my High-school writings, though.

The thing about me is that
I write what I feel with so much positivity
Only to ruin my wrists again after a year

The thing about me is that I type texts
And I smile across the table to make sure someone eats
With that I shake my head saying that "I have no appetite"

The thing about me is that I love to run
I run and run, past trees, past people
All in all, I run away from myself.
The mirror behind the 4th door down from my living room

The thing about me is that I desire to be loved
Praying to God each day for him
Yet when he comes, I'll break up with him within a day

The thing about me is that I am every way of the word
Conflicted
I want to be alive yet I want to wave from above
Strange, that some never learned from history of facts.
Especially during elections when people's stupidity rules.

Funny, when any candidate talks about military defense of America,
It's as if they under this impression we vulnerable to attacks.
But, aren't we all?

They push wars like its something to push.
When history stands now we in for a long haul of wars and bodies bags.
Cause any enemies you make eventually retaliate.

Then they call the other a liar concerning certain facts.
Mixed with frictional substances of reporting.
Then more likely cause she's a woman.

That alone intimidate many politicians and some males in general.
Yes, people's stupidity rules in society.

And when candidates speaks lies strange the way WE buy it.
But we only pinpoint it out on one.
My favorite juxtaposition
Is when a city goes totally silent
When the widest streets are empty
And the only sounds are quiet

The bustling stores are still closed
And no one else is walking around
The city looks amazingly different
With only a few men in the ground

The buildings stand tall and silent
While those up late tuck in for the night
And the earliest risers have yet to awake
To meet the ever blinking lights

The signs are as bright as ever
And the lights still work 'round the clock
But not a single bike, car, or man
Can be seen on the city block

I stand on the silent street corner
Feeling the moment rush through me
For stunningly empty cities
Are some of my favorite places to be
