Just Melz
She saw a rainbow where he could only see black.
But together, they made a frame, keeping their picture perfect life intact.

She saw the sun where he was always captivated by the moon.
But together, they made each other's wishes come true and not a moment too soon.

She saw smiles where he drowned in the sadness of eyes.
But together, they made laughter and found truth amongst a million lies.

She saw beauty where he could only see regrets and pain.
But together, they made a life that could always be and would always remain.

She saw him where he would always find her.
And together, they made happiness that could span galaxies forever.

I'm out of my right mind sometimes.*

Good thing I have my left side to fall back on.

I'll never have all the answers I'm looking for by you. I'll forever just have these questions and unexplained experiences.*

I'm sure I can live with that.

Such a critic.  Analyzing others words and relating, which is the beauty of poetry.

Exept you don't seem to see the beauty. You only see the hate that eats you alive.
I'm glad my writing bring something out in you.

It wasn't all of the sudden. I was leaving slowly. Took my time to make the decision. Watched the clock waiting for you to take notice. That never happened but now you wonder what happened. And it's sad that all you can do is point fingers and argue about it.

I just do.
Because I don't have another way.
My daughter needs a strong mommy
And so I fight these battles every day.
I do what I do because
My mom never did for me
I wasn't a good enough reason
For her to be happy.
I didn't make her smile enough
For her to love me over men
And I'd always give her another chance
Hoping each time would be different.
She was notorious for the best promises
She really had some good ideas
But she was too depressed to leave her room
So we never did any of those things.
I always wanted to know what it was like
To have a mother who would do anything for me
But she always wanted to know what it was like
To leave this life and be set free.

I was once an innocent girl
Until this one man came into my life
I fell in love with his charisma
And learned how to live a lie.
With piercing eyes and a charming smile
He introduced himself as loveable
Hard not to believe him
Even though I could sense trouble.
He taught me to deceive
And to live in the moment
When he put his hands on me
The rest of the world became my opponent.
Learning his ways were easy
There really wasn't much to it
Just think of it as temporary
Then forget that you went through it..
Half way believe your own lies
As you spit them out
By telling yourself it's possible,
Make it believable without doubt.
You must think of everything
Every question that may arise
Rehearse it all in your head
So you are never caught by surprise
