Lost within the invisible
Misunderstood by doctors
Am I wrong being myself
Playing with a little madness

Normality walks on right by
Never a hello, only ignorance
But I'm a one not to care
Trapped inside a little sadness

I try to talk but nobody listens
A shadow on the ruined wall
A place the Sun never shines
Where they always want to stare

Craziness is my solitary companion
Insanity seems my forbidden fetish
Nobody really tries to see me
In fact, you see, I'm not all there

Those who enter here
Consumed by the darkness
Where the coldest touch
Finds their very soul
They keep searching
For the heat of humanity
That stays out of reach
So they keep writing
To escape their pain
Embracing unreality

Some live forever
Their immortality claimed
Like some hungry vampire
Seeking their own need
The purpose to exist
Their words flowing
Finding hungry readers
Devouring all that they see
Where the poet is haunted
Releasing their own anxiety

Like those from the past
Writing of ravens and night
A new breed has come
Embraced in torment
Looking for release
Setting free their inner self
Poetry born in flames
Of the forbidden imagination
Forever to be remembered
In the club of the ******

You see him at a bar
And suddenly your hair
falls on your face.
You see him at a bar,
With another girl
And your heart starts to race.
You wonder how he replaced you
Like a red balloon
that escaped his fingers,
And floated over the buildings
And disappeared into the blue.

*You wonder if he actually ever loved you.
I find this pretty odd
lol sorry

You close all your doors on me
And leave windows slightly opened
So I try to see what's inside
But you turned off all the lights

I gather up all the courage
As I take the steps to your front door
I knock and ask, "Is anybody in?"
And you say, "Don't bother anymore."

Your kiss
stirred
my dull
         roots,
brought a
   a sheen
all over my
  being;
see it clearly
in my eyes
that borrowed
two stars
from some
  love struck
               galaxy
I'll be known
                widely
as your
"haloed lover"
hereafter.

your saliva
tasted like
fine wine,
fermented
moonbeams
added with
rainbow
just enough for fizz
'patented
just for one'
I heard the whisper
of your eyes.
I'll tightly wrap
my arms around you
to keep
the formula a secret,
strictly between us.

I am still
in intoxication
after all these
cycles of lives

I counted the hours
and forgot about the days.
I sat and stared
at my cracked palms,
too dried out to bleed,
too calloused to feel.

Time, it seems, has worn us
down to statues
frozen in the heart
of this burning desert,
counting hours,
waiting for the rain
that never comes.

You have the world at your fingertips and
inside there is an entire universe that I was
ready to explore. To find the deepest cracks
and brush my soft fingers along their jagged
edges so they could remember what it felt
like to feel whole. To press my lips to the
water's edge and set it on your tongue so
you would forget the ache of your thirst.
I'd take your heart in the palm of my hand
and massage every weak spot to remind
you that each heartbreak made you stronger.
Your bones kept you walking, and your
muscles, like gravity, brought you
right to me.
