Mark The Vagabond
It seems i cant escape
sleep would overtake wake and still it devastates
Depression ;
crushes me with marvelous aggression
Feast for the beast find me deep in its digestion...

Never did i see
the sun shine on me as i sat beneath a tree
Shady ;
victory thrown like Tom brady
Pride chopped off like umbilical on babys...

Lazy summer days
sorrow acrobatic
It set his mind a blaze
tryed to find comfort in a sister softer soul
Left his heart contorted
for every bridge a toll
I guess ;
usually he'd cross and watch it burn
Trying very hard to not forget the lessons learned..

the god boy, grows a pace
no longer small, squalling child

now showing a fierce independent streak
that causes pride and fear in equal amounts

it is hard to balance the need to learn
and the need to teach...to protect
we fail the balance regularly
yet are fortunate to have suffered
no great ..... or lasting consequence

his greatest attribute,
our greatest joy
his sunny side up,
the ability to always,
see the best
in everything.....
eventually

as we slow and grey,
he seems brighter,
more intense...
gathering colur into him
only to give it out...
in a argent radience
that is contagious...
in  it's beauty

of course,
he has his flaws
my child,
is far from perfect
like his father,
his floor is his wardrobe
and like his mother
he is prone to losing himself
in bookworlds, while mundane
chores await..

but he is both the worst and the best of us

and more importantly
he is himself....forging
and identity and entity
bourne of love and compassion

and honestly
as a mother godess
and as a father god

there is naught more
we could wont
or ask for...

Sometimes it seems I
don't have the skills to recollect

My thoughts struggle
to catch their breath

Crack the spine
and scribble them
down

life rafts
float survivors
between
the then and
now

Broken Song

Spelz
She asked me why my song is so sad and beautiful
I told her it's because there's
Broken glass on the strings I play

But I play anyway...

Tear my heart out
As it still beats.
Take my heart from me
As it still beats...

The aching pain
Never ceases.
The unbearable trauma
Never ceases...

If I had a choice
I'd choose death.
If you asked me
I'd choose death...

No more pain,
No more ache,
No more trauma,
No more me,*
That's what I need...

Me?
I'm a tempest bound
in flesh and calcium
and bad manners.
I'm watching a bad dream
I'll never wake from.

We’re Gonna Need Some Sunglasses For This Mushroom Cloud

Gonna need some sunglasses for this one,
it’s 6AM I’m in LA it’s been a long night for sure,
just gotta get into that cafe get that cappuccino,
then get safely unnoticed and back to the idling car,

Jar,
of Flies,
sorry I’m not sorry,
that’s a bad reference to 1995,

bad because Jar of Flies was a different year,
different year different name,
’95 was self-titled,
‘Alice In Chains’,

remind me again,
what the heck we’re talking about,
this poem has no parameters,
it’s off course but still going along,

gonna need some sunglasses for this one,
like my glasses like I like my roast,
with my Valentino’s and dark cappuccino,
and you with your mimosa my dear Yoda let us toast,

“To the Next Episode!” let’s go,

No Dre though it’s more of a Good Day,
not to be rude to Ice Cube but I got ice cubes in my flute,
in perpetual motion from chronic transitions of change,
and when I say Change I’m not talking about Rock The Vote,

because we all see where voting got us,
now we got ‘ Donald Duck Mr. Talk A lot of Nonsense’,
we got that stone cold soviet ****** Kim Jong-un launching stunner missiles like Steve Austin,
dropping finishing moves ’Cold Stunning’ but instead of a drop kick he’s bomb launching,

we can’t even stop him as in Kim Jong-un with bad movies and meetings with Dennis Rodman,

Oh My God Son!

We’re really gonna need some sunglasses for this one,
have you ever seen the magnificence of an Atom Bomb,
a mushroom clouds of the most beautiful hues,
a moment of infinite Light just before the moment we’re all eternally gone…

Once he
      held it
         he knew,
            he just knew

he was going
   to the top,
of that  there is no doubt

from the time
    he started
       his mojo working

he was walking, talking
      all about...

that time
   when he was
             reading tea leaves

he
was
     voodooing ,

          just  using
             his   imagination

he travelled far,
          that train whistle blowin'
sowing the seeds he was sowing.

then, while listening to bob dylan
he had what they call, an epiphany

he started growing mushrooms
to see what he could see

when the results came back

       he said his epitaph
                 just has to read

   'Down Through The Years
The Lord Has Been Good To Me'
