I watch in wonder
Wide eyed and mystified
As the highway lines sway like jump ropes in the wind
My eyes are playing tricks on me again as I see a jack rabbit hopping in the dark
Pitch black mind you, only my headlights in the sky of the new moon
I'm not afraid of the dark anymore
Seeing life in slow motion, changes your perspective,
not only your perception

Listening only to the sound of the wind flying by the side panels sometimes the car rattles just to fill the silence

A new knowing that I'm not quite willing to accept.
How do you let go in to the magic of the universe
when you still don't trust yourself?

I suppose that will come next.
I've always thought
Love eventually ends up,
Ripping hearts apart
And shredding souls to pieces;
But wrong I was...
You picked up my tatters,
Stitch every bit back
Into a colorful rainbow
And made me an evidence of love.
Inspired by my conviction.

You age like wine
but you are mine
Young and old

I age like milk
but I am fine
A clever fool

You age like wine
blessed and saved
loved and wanted

I age like milk
brave and alive
strong and sure

You age like wine
sweet and immature
naive and suave

I age like milk
pretty and patient
loaded and free
Women age like milk.....as they mature we are clever but overloaded!
Men age like wine...... as they mature they are finely antiquated!
"Don't fight Feminists".... just an observation and debate I had with comrades!

How odd a feeling,
unrequited love;
it’s a lot like a switch in some respects.
Some days- it’s all butterflies and sunshine,
other days a hurricane of sadness because I’ll never have you.
But lately, the switch has been stuck in the middle,
as I don’t feel giddy and high off love, nor do I feel sad.
I think I’m finally getting to the point where,
if you were to come back, I could love you again,
but your absence does not haunt me anymore
