Inside my heart, inside of me,
There is a place longing for poetry.

Too many fallen leaves,
Too much strangeness in the air,
And the air is cold.

your eyes still look familiar
but the looks they give me now are foreign

are the everything
causing me to be
broken
empty
lifeless

you
did it
it is all
you
your fault
why

me
forever damaged
full of hate
all for
you

He was glowing in my eyes
A blazing star that could never die
So bright that he made me cry

“Why are you alive”
“You don’t deserve this”
“They would be better off without you”
“Leave and don’t come back”
“Push everyone away”

You will never read this,
never know these words exist
and that's exactly why
I wanted to tell you
right here that
I cried for you.
Last night, walking
through a pitch dark park
past other lonely souls,
tear after tear
I cried.
Because I felt
so
helpless.
Because I wanted to
fall back in your arms
but knew
I never ever
could
again.
