Cherokee Nation was ******
From their way of life
Their blades and knives
Were banned and their wives.....

Cherokee Justice I will ask
Where is the saneness to this life
So proud to live and so sad
And death welcome to those so bad ...

Took their way of life
Turned them to shirts and ties
Took their way to live
As their young still cries....

Their Mother town given by the creator
Just one drop of blood to each
Each one important as the last
Cherokee, all was taken but not the past ...

I have Cherokee in my blood
So proud to say
With the flashback of their lives
They Cant take that Away....

They saw her form so raw
Heart beats wildly one more time
Oneness is the form
Passion was their battle cry ...

Love was their steadfast armor
Cradle each other in their thoughts
When they saw the other
Inviting the other in their dreams ...

Now,all the aches of dripping words
Cry for the other in this world
With loving arms she did come
Before the waking moment was done ...

When they breathe each other so true
Their sleepy eyes lock once more
Their one power that makes them weep
Passion arises one more time...

This was their Battle cry...

The most important thing
we should realize is
I could never be me
Without you.
the whole universe is betting on it.
"just look up"
mama would say.
she always smiled when she looked up,
as if she were high on drugs,
in this case she was high on God.
she loved to look up,
when the times were tough,
she'd look up and cry,
quietly whispering words of prayer to herself.
looking up gave her hope,
it made me wonder how God,
could answer so many prayers at once,
did he ever stop to take a break and forget about us?
or stop looking down.
Gazing through this smoky haze
Thinking about you again
It's been awhile since I thought of you
       My dear old friend
I needed you then
Last night...
When my mind began to spin
I was beginning to lose touch with reality
I read some of my old poetry
Bringing up some old memories
Pictures and videos too.
But that didn't help me
I simply needed you
I've heard it called destiny
And I can see that smile in my mind
So very clearly
It's been awhile my old friend
Since I've needed you again
But last night
When my head began to spin
I retraced the pattern of my soul within
I was disappointed to trace over you once or twice
Oh! How nice it would have been
If I'd never grabbed that knife
That you deliberately stuck in my back dear friend
If I hadn't, I'd never have known it was you
I could've died peacefully
Never knowing your love was through
But I did grab it, I did turn around
Now you're laying there
Still sliced up on the ground
My dear old friend
Inside my soul
Is the last place left you can still be found
Another interesting yet dark dream....
The way my hot coffee
ripples in a
Sunday morning sun
Sipping every inch,
Still thinking,
What was gone

Not until when this red,
white and blue striped mails
arrived from Mr. Mail Man

No, not sealed with kisses
nor those pretty flowers,
scented like a lavender

Your name written clearly
Printed dearly
This time, no heart doodles
Just a dripped of ink
carving the word "memories"
piled messily on the floor

Left unopened,
grabbed my cereal in a bowl
But then again, I'm just half of a whole

You don't need to re-roll
back the film
to black and white
because this isn't right
Forget about what happened that night

For now,
all I can see is how
darkness covers the moonlight*
