A little girl, sitting by the ocean.
She's quietly listening to the tides.
Making her forget all the commotion.
The sound would take over, thoughts leave through sighs.

As she grew up she searched for that soft tune.
In every little thing that she could find.
Until stars aligned in the afternoon,
And the universe said we were divined.

Love, you remind me of the very thing,
That I adore than most all on the earth.
So it's you to whom I'll be listening.
It's your music that's making my days worth.

Now I stay basking in your soothing waves.
My ocean, promise you'll hold me always.
heavy eyes sink, into my hollow
skull. finger tips blued, nails
chipped and worn. it began
with a coldness, washing over
my vibrant being. how I miss
the body, I once was. It pried
melodies from my throat, and
composed a dirge where they
resided. then, it filled my lungs
with sludge, that way, when
I cried out, the tune would
further corrupt. I lay helpless,
worn, and tattered. I do nothing
but lay, and wait, for the familiar
embrace, of health.
You grab my hand, pull me out of the madness.
Take me to that place, where You’re the only face,
I can see. Careful fingers unbraid cherry curls,
draping a tightly-held cardigan, on the anorak’s
open arms. And when I look away, guide my
eyes so they gaze into the aquamarine of Yours.
Planting soft kisses on my barren cheek,
You water me. Talking with a voice far
sweeter-sounding than a lyre. Words draping
over me like velvet, until I find some of
my own. No longer dictated by a script.
Gently peeling back the layers of myself,
you finally find my soul. Once blue, now
Golden-hued, thanks to You.
golden rays of sun, kiss Your soft cheeks.
and clovers sprout in the path You followed.
Your pomegranate lips softly hum, melodic a
as a nightingale's song. I ache for a taste.
Oh my persephone, bring on the season,
where hyacinth blooms and morning dew
sleeps soundly on fields. Your lovely soul,
as pure as springs beauty. for star-shine
sparkles in your eyes. lighting up all of
earth, all of My life along with it. gentle
hand, intertwined. bless me with Your
glace. baptize me, pomegranate kiss.
planting seeds inside, My heart. budding,
growing. my Love for You, flourishes like a
garden. forever abundant.

As you step into my world, forget the girl
I once was. here I'm a goddess. Here
I'm seen.
The bright lights shine on my face,
on my spirit. and fear leaves my body.
The music starts, possessing me.
i sway to the tune, melodies controlling
my movement.
From my smile, raw and genuine, a
song comes out: an old song.
it's a sad song.
a song of love.
it's a tragedy.
Watch me sing it anyway.
for past my glossy eyes,
my soul has never felt more alive.
but when you leave, forget what you've seen.
go back to knowing nothing about me.
