Finger shimmer green hues,
arms extend directionless,
brown cloaks rough,
stomach drinks in poison giving life,
toes unseen hold forever true,
eons have passed since their birth,
pain and suffering withstood,
peaceful and sentient they are,
in their midst we are lesser,
till the day we bring them down,
using their life to shield ours,
in debt we are to them,
our big 'ole friends.
I love being around them, they are majestic beyond.

I ride a wave of feeling,
surfing it finding meaning,
where it will take me i am not sure,
it is a feeling after all,
it takes me places good and bad,
to times I wish I had,
sometimes I crash and burn,
others bring a positive turn,
the sharks wait for me to fall,
strongly I push beyond the call,
to the beach I go for the wave takes me,
the whitewash bubbles around me like emotions,
I step to shore where the wave brought me,
here i stand ashore looking whence I came,
how strong I am with no shame.
Sometimes the emotion is so strong it takes you on a ride, other times emotion is slight. Is it like surfing?

Election day so cast your ballot,
step into the box so no one can see,
who to choose is hard one to swallow,
the one who promises wealth aplenty,
or the one who chooses care and hope,
still others offer this and that,
it's a conundrum as old as we,
thoughts should be open to the plights of others,
less fortunate and able to get to equal,
it is easy to think of oneself and forget the rest,
to do so is cruel and something we should detest,
so think of the man or woman you passed,
that one day in the cold windy rain,
homeless and hopeless they seemed,
yet you can give them what they need,
in that box on election day.
Australia just had our election, and it worth remembering others.

Love is not a drug,
it is intrinsic,
when you see the things that cause it,
smell the cause
hear the things that cause it,
feel and taste the cause,
realisation comes from nowhere yet everywhere inside,
your eyes grow soft,
nose prickles,
you hear the very essence of their soul,
the smell is sweet perfume,
the taste is luxury,
love is everything you want to say and do,
it is you,
not thinking just being,
happy and free.
I sometimes wonder why i feel complete when i realise how much i love something.

Eyes wide as dishes,
love flowing inward and outward,
intertwined hearts beating,
conversations deep and open,
true thoughts beholden naught to any ideal,
it is the raw you that shines,
this moment shared is magic,
when you dance forever.
When you are free and telling everyone you love them.

Days are spent early longing for each others touch,
whirlwind desire clouding judgment much,
the days roll on as the love changes,
hours spent in each others midst akin to flicking through pages,
the story moves on from romance to happenstance as lives take over,
no longer desire but routine all before is now just a dream,
the air thicker and colder as time has rent a wound,
the ***** in the armour to hard to repair,
as we drift in solemn silence we reminisce of times had,
to reverse the cold passage needs time not some fad,
bridge the gap with love and respect,
it will bring bountiful fruit of which you may not expect.
Relationships change and so must we, without a change in perspective the thoughts of the past become want. Reality obscured by those desires and dreams.

Life awaits those who wish,
although it's not a subtle dish,
through light and dark we travel,
sometimes the purpose unravels,
stitch the seams and mend the hems,
as your life travels another bend,
on it goes and as it flows,
the more you have to show.
Life is hard and soft, it is what makes you.
