Once was a *****,
Voted against own interests,
Republican faith.

Raised Catholic, she
proposed that ******* count
as valid worship

on Sunday mornings.
See, God is present then— she
screams His name enough.

"Where did we go wrong?"
They say.
"How did such conservative parents,
Raise such a liberal daughter?"
Its called,
Drum roll please,
Shes gay.
And she wants human rights for her people.
She wants equality,
And change.

I'm a conservative liberal
anti abortion pro choice
a society free from guns with the right to bear arms
don't water my lawn just to take long showers
freedom of speech with censorship for children
we are all the same in a unique way
what can i say
I'm a conservative liberal
balanced between two opposites like riding a bike
too much to the left
or
too much to the right

I'll walk into my home smelling like cancer and tasting like death because I don't want you. I'm selfish. I want you to break up with me. I want you to be so disgusted by my habits that it breaks you down until you realize that I'm not going to wait for you to figure out that I don't need you. I need space and you're not letting me push you away. I need you to push away from me; break me apart so that I'll at least know you aren't incapable of feeling broken. I want you to leave me so I don't have to deal with you being broken because of me. I can't do it anymore. I've broken so many people, but for some reason I can't break you. So, I need you to break me.
break up with me already
I did not start posting poetry here to enter a game
I know I will not be popular
Writing poems has always brought my heart pleasure
It is not for self fame
For me scripting rhymes is a searing treasure
If you do not care for my prose
It is fine
For some reason I did not strike your fancy, who knows?

I pray you relish what you see
The fact is the wonder of human culture is variety
We are covered by the dark
Blanketed by the milky way
Moonlight kisses your skin
I wish it were my lips

Between us are a row of strings
Begging to be plucked
We'd make a symphony
Soothe the city to sleep
Instead they draw you closer to me

Drawn to you
Stars to the midnight sky
A musician to a new instrument
Can't help but wonder
*What does it take to make you sing?
I'll stay guessing
