( sonnet )*

The morning world in mist dissolves and under,
Towed to heaven, we, a plod below the death
Of clouds, sing mute, where they trumpet-glide
Flashing into peace.  Three-toed slabs, parched
Of orange, web the stars over the wine
Dark seas and chalk the churn and twining earth
Into gloaming.  In rapt stillness they,
Are import and income, parables,
Echoes of the innocent song sung to a spire,
Gilded hutches, to those who heap on brightness
Swans are brighter even more with blackest
Eyes, they pierce the silent shroud all starry.
I wish that we were like two swans my love,
Neck of nape, embracing without touch.
.
You had your questions
I had mine,
you doubted my intentions
and I went on like it was just fine,
even when these autorotations
lifted you to cloud nine
Past my million mentions
of you'll always be mine, albeit I ain't thine

I might never be fine, like you might never be mine
for I haven't even began my journey to getting over you
but maybe, maybe I will do,
maybe I will get over you as soon as forever's through
much as there was an always and forever
in each of my I love you...

Past the memories of us talking and laughing away the night
thinking that someday love me you might
sending each other the best things of us
you me your pictures and I you my pieces
hoping they'd bring you down to Earth
and just once you'd have me taste your kisses
yet we slid right back in, same tune, different violin
with you all out of the idea of me and you, yet with me all in

so I might never be fine, like you might never be mine
I haven't even began my journey to getting over you
but maybe, maybe I will do,
maybe I will get over you as soon as forever's through
albeit there was an always and forever
in each of my I love you

A thousand poems couldn't get me past the one before you
Maybe if I write three books and a million, these feelings will die
and then I could go flip to a new page at eternity when am through
but who wants to **** the realest of things he's ever known and why?
who wants to veer off the only road that ever made sense
who wants to peel out an embrace after his best dance
you're a song I wasn't going to get tired of playing
a scent that would choke and I wouldn't quit spraying
you're a piece that would rhyme on through time
that's why am a prisoner, falling for you is my crime

I might never be fine, like you might never be mine
haven't gone a mile on the journey to getting over you
maybe, maybe I will do,
maybe I will get over you as soon as forever's through
but there was an always and forever
in each of my I love you.

Yes, an always and forever
in each of my I love you,
without a single echo

you are beautiful

i have thought this truth before
many times
while watching you stand in the door
my lovely elvis presley in disguise
memphis has put a sparkle in your eyes

let me have no other! so you can feel my love, unweathered,
it would all be much better if you just--forget her,
the only thing that makes miles distance is fear
so do a little something for your soul, and come on over here

i have sung this song before,
hummed the very same tune
to younger ears a couple years ago
look at me: a mockingbird marionette, fumbling
a millennial juliet reincarnate, crumbling
beneath familial fears and plain lack of years

it's not what it seems!
do not drink the poison!
i will see you on the other side!

i mean, it's just a ride, but
my ears have started to ring from
the sound of going mental
the sting of crashed potential
the forget-you-forget-me riptide
i still see your face, i step inside
i must move on and live my life

but how lovely would it be, to be together?
to cross time, and space
for the intergalactic sparkle of your face
for the pure pleasure of watching
each other make each other
happy

we used to write poems for each other

i have pictured myself there
in the pink atmosphere
floating with you, fellow air sign
for quite some time
i have prepared my body and my mind
for the pull of your gravity
washing over me, my skin, my spine
to let you have me
my atoms would surrender
on every eve

but elvis presley was a thief
and tennessee has nothing for me

i now

this poem:
obsolete
That taste, that warmth.
Oh goodness, it was like heaven.
Your lips, so soft. Your skin.
Our lips touching.
It was like our souls were trying to reach each other.
And eventually, they did.

Kissing you, felt like making love.
Making love on your lips,
Dancing on the starts, on your lips.

I yearn, I long for another kiss of yours.

It was out of the normal, it was too special.
So special I can't describe it in words.

Make love on my lips.
I can tell you like
Everything about me
By the way you tease and taunt
Who would have though the one under your skin
Is the only one you want
Words do not echo.
Words do not cry.
Words do not,
Identify.

Scrambled and stirred,
Frozen and baked.
Pulled when needed,
Eaten to be fed.

Pieced together,
Black or white,
Laugh or fight,
Wrong or right.

A sound is bound by key,
A picture by color pigments,
Emotions chemically,
But words contain,
Everything,
And absolutely,
Nothing.

The same word
Can be
Completely
Different,
Depending who, what, how
When it was read
Or written.

What if every word,
Was positive in meaning?
Harmless,
Could not
Destroy feelings.

Words have no senses.
Words have no bounds.
No touch, sight, taste, or smell.
Words have no sound.

Words have no sound.
Unless read aloud.
