I don't want to write about you.
Orange and greens
   Filtered means
Diluted--dreams
                 reality
tangibly mixing me
  up inside
Resuming to prove to you--Me
I control my self-worth
I am not alone on this earth
   Only in temple
   What is simple
   and complex; I am
perplexed in this life
These nerves--the nerve
of them, vibrating exponentially
causing imbalanced beams
  to teeter and totter,
tearing apart the seems
that once held together
the molding of what
   I am to be
Title may change.

i have found what you are like
the rain,

            (Who feathers frightened fields
with the superior dust-of-sleep. wields

easily the pale club of the wind
and swirled justly souls of flower strike

the air in utterable coolness

deeds of green thrilling light
                                  with thinned

newfragile yellows

                      lurch and.press

—in the woods
                      which
                              stutter
                                        and

                                              sing
And the coolness of your smile is
stirringofbirds between my arms;but
i should rather than anything
have(almost when hugeness will shut
quietly)almost,
                  your kiss

If I was a mountain

That soared towards the sky,

With craggy snow caps

And stormy grey eyes-

Then you'd be the clouds

That swaddled my peak,

That silenced my thunder

When I tried to speak.

If I was the earth

The desert, in fact:

With arid dry soil

And mud, baked and cracked-

You'd be the rain

The downpour that soothed;

The balm to my bruises,

Relief to my wounds.

If I was the Moon

In the indigo night,

With stars as my blanket

And silver; my light-

Well you'd be the Sun

Just always behind

That lent me your glow

And caused me to shine.

This heat makes my pores perspire,
   makes my skin itch
There’s not enough water to quench
  my internal thirst
Basking or baking—
bubbling, irritated flesh,
deliciously inviting
minuscule beasts to feast upon
The sun beats me,
whacking me with its rays
melting for half a day’s pay
I’ll be a puddle on the floor
swimming through cracks in
the cement. Work is a
"tradition" I often lament
Wrote this at work.

The Truth
 Jun 2014 jaz
Cynthia
Some keep me hidden
others bring me to the light,
I fight for justice and peace at mind.
Through sorrow and pain I am also found.
You say to others, “The Truth shall set you free,”
but all along you’ve kept Me locked in a cage.
Enslaved by your own lies,
They became your own refuge, your only escape.
On the other hand, I am certain, simple and gentle, never hurtful,
I fight for justice and peace at mind.
While some keep Me hidden and others bring Me to the light,
My name says it all, I am the Truth
My word will set the Way- to the Truth- in your Life.
Don’t hide me, bring me to the light.

It's true, what they say
people are mirrors
I look into your eyes
everything is backwards

What you see,
eyes and lips
hips and thighs
dirt and twigs
curves and lines

If my proportions
are enough, but
not too much
then...
I have your attention
and maybe
If I press my clothes
burn my hair
paint my face
maybe you will
like what you see?

What would I see?
If you never told me
I was beautiful
When I cover up
brush my hair
across my face
then...
would I know?
could I see?
The girl that's dying
inside of me.

In Her Eyes

Her eyes reflect a sadness
that I long to understand
so I'll swim in pools of hazel
float upon warm salty tears
that will flow onto her *****
be absorbed into her skin
catch a ride within the network
of veins leading to her heart
I'll immerse in her dark secrets
read the stories hidden there
maybe then I can unfathom
sorrows of my lady fair
