 Nov 2015 welcome to hell

.
•such grace carelessly
riding•the currents of my heart
and mind•beauty of your biolumines-
cence ensnaring • my thoughts amuck and
senses blind•membranous crown bears much
truth yet laden with lies•malicious tendrils,
unassuming but ever ready•immune to
my pleas and woeful cries•how could
something so captivating... and delicate,
be so painfully deadly•

i feel like
the overactive imagination
of some bored kid

existing

in another dimension

****
is
******
she lies on his lap,
looking up into
his eyes.

he strokes her hair,
looking up into the
night sky.

she mumbles softly, "please
don't leave me. i need
you."

*silence.
Since when is good enough,
Good enough?
Minimum, easiest,
Thoughtless and rushed.

We're giving pennies
Wanting dollars in return
We expect the gold medal
Without effort, it's not earned

Giving enough
to get by, and no more
Yet expecting the best
From the rest of the world

Too focused on taking
To ever give
But a one-sided life
Is no way to live

Good enough is not good enough
Half effort won't yield a full life.
If you feel like you deserve all the best
You've got to give what you'd like.
 Nov 2015 welcome to hell
MD
I laid in a hospital bed
In Grand Rapids, Michigan
Watching my demons come to life

No clocks allowed
I could've been up for days

The doctors walked in and out
But I didn't notice
How could I see anything
But the red eyes staring back at me
From across the room

I saw the devil take form
In my own body
And for awhile now
It's been dormant

But I never saw it leave
