Her
I looked at her the other day,
Stared at her beautiful face.
My mouth had nothing to say,
Knowing she could fill this empty space.
She was really kind,
Helpful to others,
Leaving no one behind,
Treating people like sisters and brothers.
Her amazing looks caught my eye
But her astounding personality caught my heart.
I'd never want to say goodbye,
Because this is just the start.
Just had nothing to do, literally.
I know this may seem odd.
You’ve probably heard stories about me, some of them may not be such good ones.
That’s why I’m writing this.

Don’t make the same mistake as me.

She likes someone who cares enough to be there but also lets her be free.

Don’t make the same mistake as me.

She’s not a materialistic person but remember it’s the little things that count.
Buy her flowers, surprise her with candy. She loves chocolate but not the dark kind so be sure you don’t get it or she’ll give you that grumpy look that is adorable but still means business.

Don’t make the same mistake as me.

She has a great sense of humor, is loyal beyond belief, has more beauty than meets the eye, and a smile that could end a war.
Admire everything about her.
The way she drinks from a cup as if she was a small child.
The way her eyes crinkle at the corner when she smiles.
The way that she laughs, because you can tell it is so genuine and filled with love.

Don’t make the same mistake as me.

She is more of an indoors type of girl. She likes to stay home, relax, maybe watch some tv shows while snuggled up against you.
Though, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t like to go out.
Take her to a funny movie, take her to a fancy dinner, entice her with a picnic in a park.

Don’t make the same mistake as me.

Don’t take her for granted.
Don’t flirt around with other girls if you get bored.
Don’t **** up your second chance if she gives you on, because she is just that loyal and loving that she will give you one.

Don’t you dare make her cry.

Her tears are the most depressing thing you could possibly witness.
The terrifying sound she makes when she sobs heavily is too much to bare.
I
f you make her cry, be there for her.
Hold her and apologize as she grabs your shirt and pushes her face into your chest.
Console her.
Make a promise to make everything better and actually keep it.

But most importantly of all, don’t make the same mistake as me

Don’t leave her.
My first poem

I need to stop collecting kisses from paper mâché hearts
I need to stop my constant fleeing before it even starts
I need to pull up my socks; I need to hide my pride
I need to find your reckless arms before I die inside
Why are our minds so filled
With worthless useless thoughts
Things that have no worth
Things we should think not

Why can we not focus
On what is good and kind and right
Think on thoughts that edify
And escape the dark thoughts of night

The things we let into our mind
An image a word a sound
Are sown as seed and planted there
Growing till only those thoughts abound

Be ever mindful of the crop
That in your mind you grow
For what it is we think
Over time we shall surley sow
No one ever gives me flowers,
but I was given a rose,
I hung it upside down
and let it dry
and turn crisp.
My room is now empty save for the rose.
I untie it from the ceiling and carry it outside.
The blood red rose is now black
and trembles to pieces at my touch.
I snap it
and let it crumble
into a stream
and let the water
wash it
away.
I'm moving today.
Here I am
Lying in bed

Still trying to see
if I can count to ten

One, two, three
Why do you do this to me

Four, five, six
You had my feelings mixed

Seven, eight, nine
Hope you can still be mine

Ten...
Wishing we still can

A life without love
Is like a night sky without the stars.
It's still there,
Just not quite as beautiful
