dazzling seed
of water and flesh
here are your toes!
hear your wail!

a shock in lopsided time

take your father's paltry
proud, untidy praise,
whisper it to your own reflection
off the river of the universe

yarn an incandescent voyage
beyond the gaudy shores of
humanities crooked beaches

between your ears sloshes
a makeshift promise of meaty
hope

fill your pockets with courage,
climb stupendous trees of ambition
and grin for luck

fill your mouth with laughter,
spit it on pointless hate
and pack a secret love for everyone

fill your skull with warlike wit,
pour it on the ******, the bitter
and stuff your soul with wildflowers

eat these words with
your heart

my hope,
my inspiration,
my child.
Like the colorful patterns of a Persian rug
We watch our adventure unfold
Sometimes it's still and cold
Sometimes it's ...

You want so see the patterns as a whole
...
...
Green, white and a striking gold

I want to watch it flow down
Fast and rough like a rapid waterfall
Lose it as though I had it all
I watch the water drown

Our patterns met each other once
They crossed each other and came
Back again.
Busy people rarely ever feel sad. Why? Because sadness requires a certain depth of epiphany, a subtle but constant blow in the gut. You can never find sadness lurking in the corners of a busy office or in a library full of curious young minds.

Sadness, I think, is when the world has momentarily left its orbit to embark on a dim lit path. It is there when the day is over and the lights are out and you are left sitting in the dark feeling every bit of human. It is when you'd rather stay in for the rest of the night- and day, as well -because frankly, you have forgotten the difference.
Close your eyes and all you will see
Is a lifetime of happiness and who you will be
The path ahead will lead you down
Down the rabbit hole that will be found
Open your eyes to a different world
That's  full of life and colors of imagination
Climb the trees and cross the bridge
Take a journey into the unknown
The Unknown that will let you be free and soar down the river and be who you want to be
We said our final
Goodbye to you today
It was so hard just to walk away
We will
Never forget you and your smile
Even though we're not together, it's only for a little while.
The bridge is already burned why can't you see
That family bond can no longer be
The happy go lucky family you see
Is a fake facade to make you believe
Believe we are happy and love each other so
But deep down inside you don't even know
Know the truth of the whole story within our lives because we are in the shadows of another person lies
Your lifeless body laying there, the silence was dark
The chill grew colder, the time passed by
The wait was over, it was time for goodbye
We surrounded your bedside, we prayed and sang
I know you heard us, and still to this day
The silence is now broken but the chill is still cold
Well be ok, I'm sure you know

I hope your watching over me each and everyday because I know your still with me in some way
I look to the sky and I know your still there...

You will always be my "Papa Bear."
A little boy taken to soon
As he played near the water at the edge of the lagoon
Standing with his father and having a good time
His father didn't think it would be the last time
The last time to see his sons face light up
And see the happiness of his son growing up
In a split second all had changed
His son was taken right in front of his eyes
The life of a child was taken to soon
As he and his dad played for the last time at the edge of the lagoon
I wrote this when we were on vacation in Disney and the little boy lost his life to an alligator attack.
Yevgeny Yevtushenko died today.  The Penguin Modern European Poets edition of YEVTUSHENKO: SELECTED POEMS was the first book I bought upon returning from Viet-Nam, in the airport in San Francisco.  That paperback is on the desk beside me as I type.

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and make perpetual Light to shine upon him."
Go out and change the world;
Only you can change you. Show
Others Kindness and end the hate.
Differences makes us unique.

Together is the way
Only way we can make this world

Better.
Everyone has their own beliefs, opinions, views

And we can agree to disagree--that's okay.
Life will be alright if we all got along.
I** know it ***** and hard sometimes-everyone struggles-it
Varies-person to person, but we'll be okay.
Each day is a new day-So live it like it's the last.

(Happiness happens to when you worry
About you not what others might be doing. Your
Life is yours not others--
Live it your way and forget the rest, but give respect-
Everybody has a right to
Live their own life the way they want.
Understanding all beliefs are out there is okay not
Just your's- No one is perfect, but together-maybe
All of us- can end this
Hate in this world.)
Written in a few minutes of picking the title from an Andy Grammer song. We are all in this together. Another 2 part poem.
