Sometimes you were responsible for my tears
Sometimes I was the blame for the pain you suffered
Sometimes you were the blame for the love that was never discovered
I wish you were the one losing sleep over the love you lost
I wish you were the one losing focus to what was more than a thought
I’m the one who’s supposed to cry, I’m the one who’s supposed to be broken
You wanted Foreverness, I gave you eternality
Tried building us up but you pulled us down like gravity
You’re bringing up mistakes I made to tarnish what we established
Trying to perfect a game plan that was never practiced
We put each other in this space to which we don’t wanna be
I was hoping to marry your love but you didn’t see a future with me
From blowing each other up to missed calls & unread texts
Pushing you away due to a broken heart that I’m trying to protect
You didn’t trust someone like me, I was too good to be true
I’m watching you walk away while falling deeper in love with you
I wish you could believe me when I say crying isn’t easy to do
Especially when the tears I shed are because of you

A tug, a shrug, a tap to your soul
I know you don’t need it but I’ll give you my all
A kiss, a thought, a soft press against your lips
You said you didn’t like it but it should last for a bit

Remember when I told you “If you want it you can have this”
I meant “If you want it then keep it but never return it in pieces”
But I guess I had it coming, I’m partly to blame
I should have labeled it “Fragile. Does not breakeven”

I know you love your freedom, who doesn’t? But please stay
I can even act like we’re not together, just say you love me even today
When you left I was in ruins, both body and soul
I guess that’s why they name storms after people after all

To believe God
The Gospel way.

To think of Christ's
Redeeming blood
As "fairy tale"?
Or healing flood?

I knew it not
While in my youth
Oh! How I wish
I'd known the TRUTH!

I was in darkness,
I'll attest,
My father is
An atheist.

But I was rescued!
I received!
I heard the Gospel
And BELIEVED!

I know there's naught
That can be said
To those who God
Has left for dead.

How deep depraved
And sure of death
Are those who sin
Unto last breath

How blessed are those
Who seek His face
For tho they've sinned
They're saved by Grace.

He freely held
His hand to give
He freely died
That YOU might LIVE.

That you receive
Is what I pray,
Then you will know

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23,24

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever should believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

The gospel is simply this. Jesus was born of the ******. He had no sin. He committed no sin during his life. Therefore he was perfect in every way. The only person who could be sacrificed, and whose blood could cover our sins. The only way he could live a sinless life was because He is God himself. He was brutally beaten and crucified. For, in order for our sins to be covered, there had to be the shedding of blood. But not just any blood... Perfect blood.Then his body was *buried* (like a SEED). THEN RESURRECTED TO NEW LIFE! Jesus did this freely. As a gift to you... Eternal life through his sacrifice. And Father God gave us His Son. If you believe that he did this for you, if you believe the above scripture with your whole heart, then you are among the elect. You are justified by faith. Father God no longer sees your sin, only Jesus's shed blood that covers it. It sounds simple... Because it is. For God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.

I'm not on site very much these days. I'm studying and serving God in other ways. But I want you to know you are all in my prayers. I think of you often even though I am not here. I want you to know that.
