She tossed her halo back on the shelf,
Didn't take much energy there.
Upon her head it seemed to drown her,
A suffocating glow upon her hair.

She tossed her halo under the the bed saying,
She didn't need it that night.
The room finally bathed in darkness,
Suddenly hidden from the light.

She tossed her halo into her bag,
Where nobody would suspect it.
She threw the bag across her shoulder,
Making no effort to protect it.

She tossed her halo into the closet,
Who's closet she didn't really know.
Everyone loved the stony darkness,
Nothing revealed in golden glow.

She tossed her halo into the trunk,
Saying this time was for her.
They drove on into the night,
Not knowing where they were.

She tossed her halo into the trash,
Revolting from that life.
Rocking on next to her shadow,
She didn't miss the light.

She tossed her halo off the bridge,
Fully embracing the black.
I jumped in to follow it,
I drowned trying to bring it back.
Not my best writing, but perhaps one of my favorites.
Sometimes its a shame to be black
We claim we're in it together
But the unity we lack

We belittle each other
Even though we all came
From the same father

Our ancestors fought to bring us to where are now
But how we choose to separate each other is foul

Light skins and dark skins
Doesn't matter we still have black skin
We need to begin
To listen

Build our race
So that every black person is safe
Racism is still real
And I cannot begin to explain how I feel

The black race is still frowned upon
Because our values are lost and gone

Let us begin to better each other
Build each other
Help one another
To get farther

Teamwork is essential
We have to realise our potential

It is a shame
How we let each other suffer
It breaks my heart
To see hungry child lost by a mother
When we have rich people
Who are greedy
In their fast cars speeding
Having no conscience or feelings
Because they won't even give to the needy
Lord Jesus I'm screaming
Please change the world
Make everyone start believing
That africa can rise
If we stop ignoring the cries
Of the poor
Revitalise the land
Before it dies
I know we can
If we keep our eyes on the prize

We can build africa
Make africa a staple
If only we work together
Bring something bigger to the table

We were blessed to be born on this beautiful land
So let us join hands
And make africa
As big as we can
I just want not only africans but black people to stop being victims and make our race be more respected and accepted worldwide
For a short bit of time the smiles were Contagious

Now the solicitude wins out Memories that Overplay

While crumbled stones attack my thinly callused Feet

As the tears fall so readily down the path

Unknowingly, that was so neat

As I escape the roadway my feet hurt so Daringly

My toes crush a fallen limb the cries come so Loudly

Tackle and break the heart from head to Toe

But as I look up and see the stars the glacier looks Deep

They twinkle brightly in the red sweet ****** of a Sweet lip

Wanting to remember those beautiful days with You

Bright fireworks thrilled us gentle looks of Love

But fear has set in love has turned to Hate

Sleeping with sadness like I would be with a Blanket

As I thrash every night all night Long

Longing for the morning to come and find me Alone

The noise like grinding teeth I wonder if that is Me

As blankets accumulate like my sadness Does

I jump to my feet crying this can be no more

As I run blindly to find my life yearning and Believing

Wearing thin I knew I could not stand any Longer

So the urge to fly away comes so very Strongly

And that  breaks my Heart....

A river flows from the
Throne Room of God
To this dry and thirsty
land that we must trod

It brings refreshing to
the souls that do thirst
And a renewed life within
when God is put first

Into the Rivers current
is where we will go
And where it takes us
we do not know

But the will of God
is what we desire
And to be filled
with the Holy Ones fire

So the River of God
is what we will seek
Those that are mighty
and even the meek

Mkt
You heard my cries
You saw the good in me
You don't care that I can't see
You've lifted my spirits
You've given me hope
I know tomorrow will be better,
Just because of what you said
Thankyou
Not the best but it's for a friend
When you close your eyes
At the moment’s peak
Do you hear life’s lies
Whenever you try to speak
That demise you held on
That guilt you deny but prolong
You try to get out
But this weir will only make you drown

You try to shout
But nobody listen
The darkness subdues
You’re numb but not frozen

You let it in
The agony that you breathe
You mold it all in
Yearning for that rapture
Is that all you desire?
For that temporary bliss?

Not realizing you've fallen deep
*Into the unending abyss
Don't let it consume you.
You are better than this.
Addiction has its decisions.
Choose,
For better or for worse?
(Inspired by true events of my friends that passed on and the film Donnie Darko)
The Lollygaggers gag on their lollipops
As the ice cream truck passes them by

Those moment when you're trying to be funny are the finest cuisine for my hypothalamus

Seeing you display what a sinch it is for you to make an *** of yourself

All you are is a big noise
And your life is held together by safety pins and duct tape
We have a treat for you all!
It's Captain Obvious and The No-duhs
With their newest hit single, "A picture of a picture"
How existential are they?!

They use a clavichord, a harpsichord
A mellotron along with an autoharp
And of course a theramin to express this song to the universe

I will say no more
Here they are, Captain Obvious and The No-duhs

"Hey, are you free today?"
"Hey are we still on for tonight?"
"Do you live in eternal
Or temporal time?"
"Lets look back on our
illegible live's highlights"

"I got a paper cut from a bookmark"
"But I haven't got a *******'s clue"
"If I should round to nearest tenth"
"Or pop all of the animals made from balloons"

"Now, I'm looking at a picture of a picture"
"And I'm truly the worst for wear "
"You missed the cut off date"
"You're camera shy so there"

"Hey, you wanna chill today?"
"Hey what you wanna do tonight?"
"Want to watch the changing of the tides?"
"Or take in a movie then go and grab a bite?"

"I disregard the label makers"
"And mark all the typos"
"Shorten all the long winded speeches"
"And smelt all the silver idols"

"Now, I'm looking at a picture of a picture"
"And I'm truly the worst for wear "
"You missed the cut off date"
"You're camera shy so there"

"Knit me a sweater of vanity and greed"
"Sew me a lust and sloth tapestry"
"Croshay me a hat of envy and wrath"
"Macramé me a bracelet of gluttony"

"Now, I'm looking at a picture of a picture"
"And I'm truly the worst for wear "
"You missed the cut off date"
"You're camera shy so there"

Love is not blind. We are merely blind compensating with our senses.

Carrying the art of love
to her ***** so lovely
much pleasure she holds
takes hold of the night
sheer radiance reveals
undertaking of noble verse
breath avails
idea of a poet thoughts.*
