is this craft
that chose you,
not defined by millimeters,
precision absolute,
curvatures, so eye pleasing
they demonstrate
no tolerance
for tolerance
of the
ordinary

the skill of words,
too, cut so fine,
find the
extraordinary within,
refine, refine, refine,
shave away the trite,
the reused, discard,
instant recognition,
unusable

cut new cuts,
thy spirit tolling,
thy soul trolling
anew
is thy
toolings earth sourced
from and of the
ever better,
ever closer,
always newer

make thy own designs,
faithfully execute
the new born original,
by elevating,
with the tools
in you, provide us,
by illuminating

no thing machined,
can ever be as fine
as the originality
that requires
soft spoken definition
in new ways,
heart and hand
guild crafted

when God designed the Connecticut
autumnal leaves,
overriding the summers's single green, good
but not miraculous, insufficient,
when contrasted with the
shades of red, yellow,
purple, black, orange, pink,
magenta, blue and brown
of newly fallen
words and worlds

in the season of change

write me a tool
so elegant, so complex,
so refined and yet so simple,
that its point will force no choice,
but engrave gasps of pleasure upon
my faltering eyes,
my slowing heart,
my exhausted limbs,
and make me
live again
through your
finest creativity

heat heat heat
burn to look beyond

Weasel
Roses always wither
Before I've even had
A chance to enjoy them
Which usually makes
The Weasel feel like cryin'

{ Weasel }
This poem is true!
I have always noticed that roses wither too quickly.
Thanks for reading.

Dreams like boulders
Cemented
Onto weary shoulders
Fingernails bled a scarlet tinted hue
From holding onto precipitous edges
Face turned away from the almost
Gazing into the crevice
Of an unpromised tomorrow
The glimmer of borrowed sunlight
Waned and the foreboding returned
The grey became the author
Of all that she was.

Marian
Lanterns swing lonely
In bitter howling wind
The howl of a distant wolf
Flames flicker in the night
And she is lost—lost
Never to be found again

Alrighty, attention, HP!!
Since I haven't been feeling well
At all today (just a cold), I was thinking
That I shall come up with my own
Poetry challenges
Anyone is welcome to participate
Okay, so my first challenge
Is to write something about a house

To the trees, to sun
to birds and the ways of love
to breath - I thank you
We have this thing
It's always been there
Hiding beneath the words
We are both afraid to say
Behind the feelings
We try to keep at bay

We have this thing
It cannot be denied
The embers never cease
Living far beneath the skin
Behind the innocence
Deep within

We have this thing
Connected within and without
Beyond our understanding
Never letting go
Facing what we want
Believing what we know

We have this thing
It's tied to you and me
In ways of blissful hunger
Tethered at the heart
The mind and the soul
Unable to want to part

We have this thing
Which makes us more than friends
Which binds us stronger than lovers
That makes life technicolor
And makes things better
Just being with each other

Rj
Sweating, breathing, silent screaming
Shaking, crosses, mixed love making
Kisses, crying, forced good-bying
Late night terror, morning dream
Guardian angel whispers in my ear
I'm screaming so loud, no one can hear
One more prayer, one more look
Look at my own heart I've took
I've thrown it into jail you see,
To save me from questioning eternity
No more love.
