I gathered it all up into a ball
and threw it into space
With fingertips
I touch your forehead

my hands bless your head

my heart accepts you for life.

I vow to love you
as I have loved my son.

Welcome home, my daughter.
that says for my absence for a fortnight.
thank you all fellow poets on hp.
my gratitude to Victoria, Rick, Steve, Cristina and Chimaera.

Your spirits strength I've seen,
More amazed, never have I been,

It reverberates from the lion roar,
Echo (echo) to the core,

Inside the mane you reside,
Yet ever so bravely; playfully you stride!

Swinging madly on Gods dreadlocks,
Your pendulum of ethereal knots,

Twines of love mirroring yours,
Synchronized rhythm, an unstoppable force.

While introspecting
I came closer, to myself
Being distanced
I forgot the language
In which scripts were written
Became myopic
And veered farther
Enjoying being away
Lost in the din
Never realizing
I was being swept away
From myself
While my soul yearned
For a rendezvous
I was oblivious
Seduced by the glib talkers
Became gullible
And yielded to the manipulations
Was a hallucinating ride
In the scariest roller coasters
Mind in a jumble
Entangled in the web of lies
Now, I have come back
From the brink of oblivion
To myself
Once more to listen
To my soul and heart
A union
After a struggle

K Balachandran
Day keeps his tryst with winsome light
under the golden dome of the opulent morn,
still shamelessly eyes the leaving jealous night,
with the glad eye, reserved for a concubine,
to whom at sun down he stealthily returns.
This illicit affair both consorts are aware,
hasn't it sustained both, with him as the buffer!
Neither too good to be pulled to heaven,
Nor too bad to be pushed into hell.
My soul tossed between the twin poles,
For I am neither a saint nor a sinner,
To be berthed in a glowing globe,
Or thrown in a blowing globule.

Heart and soul coupled and framed abode,
For a bond of a home maker and a joy seeker,
Heart is smart in loving and living in anchor,
And soul that leaves and lingers in hunger
One that enjoys known heaven at home,
And the other entangled in unknown haven.

Nay, my soul and me are one and heed to none,
Propelled we ported on a day in heaven on mission,
Grasped by a welcome drink in local ambrosia,
It looked as if we clinched at ultimate panacea,
On a jolly ride hosted in the merry Maryland.

And then pal of gloom unveiled;
No birth and no mirth to make,
No death and no change or challenge,
No hunger and no taste of food,
No thirst and no feel of quench,
No ambition and no mission to fulfill,
No identity and no entities to entice,
No kith and kin and no fun and frolic,
No home of my own and none to be homely,
No work and no wisdom to worship oh Lord!
And what an unearthly heaven is it?
An earthly year is lost for a day in heaven.

And then I prayed, praised, pleaded and pleased,
The powers-that-be to fuse my heart and soul,
And help unearth the heaven on earth.
Time is unlimited
Our time is limited
Time available is valuable
Time invaluable is inviolable.

Time is sweet and spicy at times
Time is sour and spiky sometimes
One has time for one self
None has any time for others.

Countless cosmic time is lustrous, long and strong
Count of clock and calendar is meek and meagre
Time has no origin or end albeit its ageless ageing
Time has no shape and size but it shapes and sizes.

Time seeks none, all seek time.
Time is good but not at all times.
Time is turbulent and terrific
Time is titanic and tenacious

Time is generous to some sometimes,
Time is ruthless to some others many times.
Time spares those who spare it.
Time makes and mars and makes.

Time and again time is in and time is out
At times, times are good but out in no time
Out and out some have no time sometimes
Many a time many time-out all time.

Every time is not our time
And all good times are lost in life time
Times may come and times may go
But the time goes on forever

Time has no stable time-table
Time solves, absolves or dissolves
Endless time tickles endless times
It is high time to tackle all times.
At one time or from time to time.

Traveler
Velvety roses so pleasing to the senses
Convey such messages as apologies and love
The aroma of angels in blue blurry skies
Stardust, rainbows and dreams from above

To brighten your new day
With magic and laughter
A spectrum of colors
So brilliantly captured

A life refreshed
Each moment within
May the blessings of new days
On this day begin
Sorry I've been gone so long!

Fire
fire
in the sky
burned so bright
burned so high
how was I to know
it was the end of time.

Meteor predicted on
its way
flashed incandescent
as it made its way,
shattering into a
million fragments
atmosphere burning
fires starting
nuclear winter
envious of its
power.

A lone figure
on a hill
never knew
such loneliness
as this,
took your hand
and
one last kiss.

The meteor bright
brought the end of time
rendering all of our
fears, petty jealousies
brutalities and stress
our issues
our loves
irrelevant.

If I had known this
before
freedom wouldn't
have been that painted
she-male *****
seductively calling
to me for more -
but could have been
a moment before
that meteor made
its call.

The fires have melted
the stars have
been renewed
the planet continues
its spinning around
the sun
the deepest ocean fishes
continue evolution's marching orders
while a cell phone alarm
flips on
and
the icon shows "no signal"
while beneath
the rubble a
malfunctioning relay
finally finds
that call made
hours ago
and the phone
rings and rings
beneath the
ashen snow
until the last
silence
no one is home.

Mother Earth
finally restored
to
its
silence
once again.

Across the earth
hearts are beating...
red-mime of no-time
simultaneity.
Body-galaxy to
bodhi-galaxy...space
enough for ecstasy.
