SG Holter
I am a giant.

Near blind with seeing too
Much and squinting
When speaking to
People.

Clear the flowers from the window
And light candles for me.
Light me a thousand.
So I may find my way home,
And we finally fall into
Each other.
Then light me another.

Use clear words.
Speak my language; I'm tired from
Bending my knees to
Hear. Show me that you'll listen,
Show me that you care
Enough to really
Listen.

I am bigger than you.
I'll keep you safe
Until forever.

As long as you dance with me;
Work with me; play with me.
I'm clumsy and slow, might
Break everything
Except your
Heart.

Light me a comet of candles,
An army of angels
To show that you
Want me there.

Light them all.
I have nights
To maneuver
Through.

Meenu Syriac
She carries herself around with the elegance of a winsome soul,
Her charm and wit, these are some things you can't live a day without.
And when she spoke, she could make heads turn,
The way not known in the days bygone.
She was a woman, her hips could sway and make you mesmerized,
At the sheer vulnerability of your own thoughtless mind.
Her words could pierce through your chest, and leave a mark,
Even turn you out from your ways, unkempt.
And when she walked by, her scent could drag you along with her,
A force of gravity that can't be explained in terms of words or thoughts.
She was a woman, one you know, you'll have to fear but also love, to make you skip a beat,
Her smile to set you free from a world that holds you down.
In her eyes, she sees the world, her life meant for a greater cause.
When you think you're lost, she will be there to hold your hand the rest of the road.
She was a woman, not for her curves, or her hips, or her eyes, or lips
She was a woman, because she cared when others gave you their goodbyes.
She was a woman, for the grace she held, for her kind heart, that wanted to help.

She is a woman, who dreams for a world, where she can live and not be tried.
*She is a woman, because, yes she's beautiful, inside out.

Her cunning eyes
he spied, slyly write
the usual evaluation note
any guy is familiar:
"His eyes are right there
where the difference lies
grazing my curves
as if it is all his;
on the edge he is, I am sure
his eyes are heavily laden
with lust".His eyes,
are they any less?
"She has decided
in an instance to extract
a big price, need to conceal well
emotions like an unfinished sculpture,
till the exact time to unveil"
he gets his report, immediately acts,
her face falls with a thud.

let go of the past....
   trust the future....

embrace change....
         come out of the cocoon....

unfurl your wings....
dare to get off the ground...

ride the breezes....
                     *savor the flowers...
                         *put on your brightest colors...
                             *let your beauty show....

I wish to delve into your poetry
and weave among the words,
walk silently between the lines
sit by pauses incase I'm heard

I want to immerse myself in your phrases
stand tall with the titles you choose,
hide behind the metaphors
myself, I want to lose

I need to lay among the romance
rest my head upon your heart,
listen to your soft whispers
and just watch as you pen your art

Do you ever think
that maybe
our hearts
are on the left side
because,
love,
isn't always right?

You love to tell me the simplest of lies,
Like how you'll love me forever and I'm beautiful in your eyes,
You'll tell me I'm perfect and that you'll never leave,
But suddenly you're gone and I'm left to grieve.

You are a sailor
Drift way from the harbor
Pull up the anchor
That binds you down
Set sail towards the horizon
Take off the blindfold
And hoist the sail
Let the wind be your guide
Sun and the Moon your compass
Steering through uncharted waters
Sometimes calm weather
Or, inclement weather, rocking your ship
Tackling the deep waters with alacrity
Unfathomable depths, yet the ship sails
Cutting through the waters
The saline water, which is a part of you
Seagulls guide you towards the shore
Anchoring at the preferred destination
Every grain of sand cushions your feet
Welcoming you to the island of bliss
Cut off from the mainland
Yet, helping you connect with yourself
Now it’s time to unwind
And join the party after a successful voyage
Ready to set sail for another expedition
As a sailor, cruise till the end

Have you ever thought
Our
Memories would be held here
Everytime I think about it, I can't help but cry

Suicidal thoughts,
Overthinking,
Cutting,
I
Eventually let
Them get to me, don't let them get to
You
