Smudge

Love is the feeling of happiness you get when you see them smile,
It Beams,
No matter what, but more so when you know you are the cause,

Love is the feeling of devastation you get when you see them hurt
It Kills,
No matter what, but even more so when you know that you are the cause,

Love is Hope
            It's Faith
             It's Justice
              It's Charity
               It's Courage
                It's Prudence
                 It's Temperence

Love is wanting them,
Love is needing them,

Love is staying,
Even when it hurts you more than words can say,

Love is Lust
          Its Envy
           It's sloth
            It's Pride
             It's Greed
               It's Wrath
                It's Gluttony

Love is a drug,
It's everything, but it can quite easily leave you with nothing,

Love with caution - its not always a balance of sin and virtue.

Hi,
I just wanted to say
that the sound of your voice
wakes up my senses

When you speak
I'm melting away,
giving in to the consequences

You're a room
full of candles,
I inhale without a choice

I scent cherry blossom
and vanilla flames,
you sound like roses and apricots

The sweet aroma
of your melody
smells like candles of passion fruit

I'm drawn in
by your tone,
for me, you are an absolute

I'm enveloped
in daffodils
as your words glow in yellow

Your voice
is so hypnotising,
euphonious and mellow.

Being in love is like being surrounded by a million flickering candle flames, giving out the most precious aromas, mixing up all your senses and awakening them at the same time. <3

Life was a spiral down
I lived but struggled like a clown

With your illumination and
The sight of yours
You gave me LOVE
You gave me breathe
You gave me blood
You gave me strength
You gave me wings

From the prisons of life

But still we are apart
By a thousand miles

I Need

Eyes that undress me and devour
that look upon me as a delectable flower

Lips that softly kiss and taste
greedily savoring my sweetness leaving not a trace

Hands that need no prompting or words
they just read my body and thoughts not heard

Arms wrapped tightly around me, skin on skin
making me feel loved on the outside as well as within

I wrote this poem six years ago today and it is still true. We all need this!! I do not need any gifts for Valentine's Day just love

at the start
childhood sweethearts
never were we apart
saving ourselves
playing it smart

now all grown up
saying our vows

it was great
at the start
now nothing but fights
cannot stand the other in our sight
doing things out of spite
sleeping apart at night
in public acting like everything was alright
while thinking of our legal rights

it was not just a line
now so many signs
we are not fine
through all this time

love poem

there is uproar in the kitchen.
you would think some restaurant was over-
booked and a weary chef was fighting
to deliver ten covers at once.

all i said was “i can’t get to sleep.”
he has decided to save me.
my valiant knight on horseback
is in the kitchen making something.

i yawn and sit pretty on the sofa.
it is nice to be saved and spoilt.
i start to drift away to some
distant land trying to ignore the blender.

he arrives with a large cup.
he gives this to me and hovers.
i must taste this though
i know it will burn my lips.

i can’t leave him hovering forever
so i take a sip, burn my lips
and melt with the softness of the milk,
an intimate pleasure.

my cup of love, hot milk,
cinnamon, honey, all blended
to froth and he has grated
nutmeg on the top.

i smile up at my valiant knight
and he relaxes, all is well.
i have been saved
no more dragons to fell.
