begging for a ride

accepting
what we cannot
change

but giving space
to
ourselves

boundaries

from
what hurts us

what is beyond
our endurance

to bear

Take it from me
There’s not much to see
In this garden with few sunny days

No prize winning flowers
Sprouting upward like towers
For invited guests to amaze

But when I come home
To a house all alone
I’m glad that my yard goes

To humble blossoms
Daffodils lined in rows
And a spot where tulips have arose

It's where I go to unwind
Achieve peace of mind
And escape a day of lows

So I’m sure you’ll agree
There’s not much to see
In this garden for guests to amaze

But this garden is fine
Because it is mine
Where I happily spend all my days
i still remember
the stars that shone out on me
sparkles from your eyes
as you held me close and tight
and i wanted forever
but that never was to be
and now i stand looking back
to what seems a far off dream
a lost world full of magic
now forsaken, gone

Last night, so enlightening
the full flower moon, illuminating
somehow brightening our words
the sun had gone, taking only the birds
leaving the sky of red mars, the alluring stars
you and I, naked traipsing through the woods
the blazing moon of firelight through the trees
a splendorous love potion, we drank the night, celestially

The cloudy skies make mild the Sun's shine
Tiny blades of grass
brazenly shoot up the red, moist soil
A herd of goats takes wholesome bites
out of luscious, green shrubs
The field looks inviting and ready to plow
The earth is cleansed
Everything is new
The world is beautiful
I love the rain

The coolness of the atmosphere
Springs up in me depths of contentment
Small worries seep away
I can do anything and everything
The earth is still, Nature is at peace
Petrichor floats in the soft, wet breeze around me
The fragrance of rain washes over me
I can almost taste it
I inhale deeply, I exhale joy
I feel alive
I love the rain.

As the wind does blow
Through the trees in the forest
I hear your heart cry
My first Haiku, prompted to write this today! Enjoy :)
