Moist exhaust
Cold,
Hot,
Close your lips
Shut your lies

Sometimes we think
that the party
never ends;
that tomorrow
won't come;
but sunrise always
cracks our illusion,
until one day
dawn's sweet light
shines
no more.

when I hear you
say my name
I feel like jumping
over all words
to hold you close

when fake news
is the only news available

how do you know
what's really going on?!?

where is the wisdom
of my earlier worlds
giving me the illusion
I knew what I was saying

the years since then
have taught me insights
       unexpected  inconvenient
the wisdom of old age  maybe

yet I don't find again
the certainty of youth
forever lost
in the complexities of living

Crying into the wind
Screaming into lined pages or computer screens that listen and don't judge
You can reexamine many things but once you are grateful things get lighter and easier
The flashbacks,memories,and nightmares don't leave you they just go away reappearing every now and then
My loyalties and kindness remain constant but in those
silent moments my confidence and caring remain as pure as my heart

My love is priced
Overly and above
I fell for it with possibilities now i cant afford it

Were there signs i didnt read
When she smiled and i tumbled
I must have fallen so hard
Never to get up

It has cost me friends and money that have no price
And i am cast out of my dream to love
And so i can go for less the dream at the price i can afford

Just for today
I have cast off the cares of Winter
and tied them in a cloth of April green
I hid them on my hope shelf
where they cannot be seen
