eunsung aka Silas
your small body sinks into my arms
I will hold you as long as I am able
I promise to hold you close and safe
until you awaken to run away to explore
my little adventurer I love you,
let the beating of my heart soothe you to sleep
i will hold you through toothaches and heartaches
For my daughter Winnie,  who is turning 10 months tomorrow.
stores are running deficit
provisions unreplenished
ovens seeing less of flames
you're writing love poems!

cobwebs in the rooms dance
future in shambles unplanned
caught in lunatic trance
you're writing romance!

dirt is marking the wall
worries bursting the skull
expenses shaking nerve
you're busy writing love!

no bother no future plan
quickly dwindling ration
drowned in dense emotion
you're pouring passion!

Words find their way.
Hearts speak through fingers.
Reading eyes are mirrored in
Ink systematically spilled in
The shape of sounds
And minds.

A pen resting on the table is a
Flatline.
A blank piece of paper merely
Dead, compressed wood.
Don't deny us your genius.
There is no try in poetry.

Years of drought
and the grass is dry
the trees they die.

We love the sun
and clear skies
for fun all day.

Winters ahead
and we pray
as never before.

That the rain
will come
and not too fast.

As El nino strikes to end our drought.

Pretending a day is forever
Then watching you hurry away
It’s a game we play together
We are strangers in the light of day.
I’ve learned to lie with my eyes
To act like we never were lovers
When I am nobody you ever claim
We won’t walk in sunshine together.

The love of my life is a stranger
And this is the price I have paid
I smile when my heart is a wasteland
And, my life is a dance masquerade.
I’m dancing with a shadow
It looks so very real.
It moves with the rhythm
It does everything but feel.

I can only get so much reward
From rewriting each scene
From what it really was today
To what it might have been.
I am settling for a fantasy
Of what love is really about.
Picking up the scraps of dreams
That anyone else would throw out.

The love of my life is a stranger
And this is the price I have paid
I smile when my heart is a wasteland
And, my life is a dance masquerade.
I’m dancing with a shadow
It looks so very real.
It moves with the rhythm
It does everything but feel.

A moment of silence for the castaway
for the sibling, and daughter they threw away
because there's always one black sheep
the one a family will not keep
pushed aside when they speak their truth
and, it all began in their youth
The Queen bee dismissed the one
causing the castaway to come undone...
without some ground to stand upon
or, kind support from anyone --
when trials came she stood alone
she couldn't even pick up the phone
the castaway cry's at night
tears of sadness
tears of fright
into the darkness she must go
because she's tired, and all alone.

I'll leave my window open
            so in darkness-deep
            maybe, just maybe
            you'll hear me weep.

Freshness of early morning
Wipe out all my boring

Blissful cuckoo sounds
Unsounds all my wounds

Cool moon
Wants me to tune
My own boon

Tree shakes
To remove all my aches

Moving nature
Moved my nature.
Unfortunately I haven’t seen much early mornings. But enjoyed today.
It gives some sort enthusiasm. And while enjoying I was reminded of Elsa aka and Donna mam.
How good the nature is!!

i have not seen you
nor heard your sweet words
forever it seems
and though the sun shines above
in a blue and verdant sky
all is dark and cold to me
my only light is memory
but do not worry for me
for i will survive and heal
and i will never forget
the love you gave me
