I touch the side of my face
as I shutdown my life,
my cheek is wet...
I stare straight ahead
as the screen goes black.
I sit for a moment
and cry.

I know that I can't be what you want;
because my heart is absolutely true
and know I will not give up on you.
That's why you can't ever love me.

He holds you the same as I would,
plays and messes with your hair
just like I would if you were mine.
Every soft kiss on his lips kills me.

You sit up late and talk with him on the phone;
just like we used to stay up late and talk
like that time we spent 24 hours of a weekend
being in each other's company... just talking...

But you never fell for me the way you fell for him
or the way you fell for your last boyfriend
or the one before him, or the one before him.
Five years. Five boyfriends. None me.

                                                        None love you like me.
*And that is why you can't ever love me.
Because you know that I'll stick around
                                      When everything falls apart
And try and be your everything
                                                    Because I truly love you
                                             And you fear that love
One of my most personal writes ever. Only cried through all of it.

the Geese across the way have much to say these days
roosting down the shore, The Goose a Celtic sign of the Holy Ghost.
Monotone voices on the radio speak of intercontinental ballistic missiles
a modern sign of Armageddon just around the corner of tomorrow.
I wonder just what it is the Geese are saying, and they say it all together,
then stop mid sentence as one.
The many experts on modern day ills speak in low voices, highlighting the graveness of their messages, in between Hollywood gossip keeps us all interested and listening.
the Geese mate for life, and stay in family groups, and they have no need of missiles, its a shame we do not take a leaf or two out of their book.

God, this universe larger than I, powers that be, Please hear my cry

I want to grow,
To make more music and write,
Meet people and travel.
If I don't, I'm going to stall,
Tumble into free-fall.
I would be the living dead;
A shadow of what I could've had.

I'm not scared of dying,
I'm scared of never living again.

If only an angel or supernatural could pluck up this mortal fate and twist the coil that can spring life forth once again.

Like a jack-in-the-box torn out of his nuzzled crate, I don't know where I am or if I can walk.

My novelty was taken away by some phantom, a stranger which had no care or thought.

I used to have a painted smile on my face.
To surprise and laugh was my only plot.

Now I'm tossed among the piled heap: Forgiven, but also forgotten.

The owner bites the dog, I bit myself
I think
I ate my leash
My psychological hand pulls the chain
from my stomach, leading me into the kitchen where
You are making coffee

I wake up in the morning
and curse you
that bed, that old vessel of human broth
I make it
Repackaged, like new,
let’s consume from within –
Crisis averted

Last night I dreamt of islands
chasing me
And I was afraid
because I had deserted them

You
Pour me a cup of coffee
I accept
offering you a smile, but
no gratitude, or hope
While my mind gnaws
at the memory
of love.

Knowing there is a piece of you
always thinking of what could've been,
makes me feel this strange jealousy...
and I hate it.
Set your aim well
narrow your eyes to see
where hatreds dwell.

It's everywhere in the land
with guns in our hand
we are fighting a war
brother against brother
a battle without cessation
nation against nation
settle with the bullet
more right is which faith
decide with gunfire
which race is placed higher
for centuries the same story
battles make bulk history.

Races raged cities burned
but we never learn
to build one world city
one humanity
only aim further well
narrow our eyes to see
where differences dwell.
The feeling I got when I held and aimed the gun.

.
Pale faced is bone true,
Lit in darkness like a match,
Two lovers in flame.

The moon is low monster,
High above any scream,
Our lives asunder.

The moon is one faced,
Judge without any jury,
My love for you is plain.

The moon is great Poet,
Above all mountains, pious
In the indifferent skies.

I once loved a dark lad,
Who laid me so blindly bare,
Even the nightingale was mute.

And love is a glowing ghost,
On my shoulders to keep,
Behind me the moon.
