so many words
yet not enough
to breathe with scented wind
see colors and the space defined
in fractal symmetry
our footfalls on the path
this mind is full of pulsing me
with words push your way in
I flood and overflow
don't stop this
spilling where I am

I stood around the corner for so long
always a little detached from myself
waiting for the stars to align
and a number of other nonessentials
it took a minor miracle to shift me
to move into forward gear
realise my dreams as I travelled onward
gone around the corner, finally

~

where clear blue sky meets water's deep
his sunbeams reach her waves to tease,
to warm her currents, foaming spray;
dawn to dusk when daylight fades,
till only afterglow remains,
an interlude of celestial stage.

he speaks to her on written sky
and in the mournful sea-bird's cry,
wraps sultry ribbons in her tresses,
his fingers linger in caresses,
and in soothing choreography
he gently stirs her ocean's breeze.

he sends her gifts of palm and dates,
wrapped on waves in salty sprays;
watches her with much delight,
he sings to her each eventide,
love songs with the calling gull,
and rocks her tween the gusts and lulls.

wedded at horizon’s edge,
devotion to her he has pledged,
to have forever and to hold,
his comfort to her storm-tossed soul;
his tender kiss on tear-stained cheek,
where clear blue sky meets water's deep.

~

post script.

when one gazes
into the vastness
of sea and sky,
of what is from
height to depth
an endless blue,
one cannot but think
of eternal devotion,
of the relationship
between two who have
pledged their forever troth!

as i wonder from what recesses
this one came, i remember…
our 36th wedding anniversary
is fast approaching...
i’ve been thinking of what to gift her
that will make her cry anew.

**thank you to Hello Poetry for
the tremendous honor bestowed
with their designation of this poem as the daily
and to all who have expressed their heartfelt
love and appreciation... your message
came through loud and clear...
there can be no denying it,
i am an incredibly blessed man
because of each of you!
thank you, truly,
from the bottom of my heart!

if any man's palate be perfect,
then let him also be perfect,
but if his palate be
untrained,
then
let him
eat until his
heart's content, for
there is plenty!

and if his
heart
remains
hungry, then
let him ask for
more for his soul is
malnourished and
there is plenty!

and if he
is full and
satisfied, then
let him ask for more
still, for there are those
that starve and still
there is plenty!

and let him share his ration
with his neighbors in good
taste, and let them
dine together in
fellowship, for
**there is plenty!

Come and get your fill! But, don't
forget to share that good bread
of the Gospel of the Christ
with those who might
be hungry!

eunsung aka Silas
it's hard sometimes to be grateful
the very things and people i am grateful for
slowly wear on me, when I am not centered

as i breathe and slow down to listen to my heart
something shifts and i can open up to life with
a grateful heart

i quickly forget that there was a time in my life
where i used to wake up praying everyday
for God to **** me

today I wake up most days with a grateful heart
I give thanks for the day and
turn my thoughts to someone else I can help

i am trying to not just be grateful with words,
but  put it into action.

Life is short vita brevis
You gotta make do w/what you got
No sense worrying about the pain
When you spent all those years
figuring out which pills or nutrients
Worked best for you on a humid day
Some can make it all go away
Other things could make it last/stay

So glad remembering ing you
And I fought in wars too
Just yesterday you were the high school school girl
And I was learning 'bout new stuff
And other things got in the way
But I believe in miracles

It's not easy living w/broken parts
After fifty years of broken hearts
When will I mend my broken heart
When I'm living w/broken parts

i'll hum to you
a melody
i'll sing to you
a song
that pain will cease
you will find peace
i hope you
sing along

children listen to me
poets please give ear
feel the pain
in this refrain
i hope that you will hear

there are ships
sailing the sky
don't you worry
question why
they drop stardust
where you lie
hear the
poet's lullaby

poets
keep on loving
for this is what
we do
we have dreams
we have schemes
to keep
that love renewed

poets
keep on living
be all that you can be
young or old
your tale's told
write it down
be free!

there's a ship
your muse is near
let her listen
let her hear
give your poetry
and tears
hold on to what
you hold most dear

yes, your ship is sailing
on a sea of ink
once again
you'll dip your pen
once again you'll think

but for now
you're weary
your eyes begin to close
feel the drift
into the rift
where ink

forever flows

the Man
sat crosslegged
on a mat of
green reeds

the woman
gulped and
wept as she
broke the
beautiful bottle
and poured out the
oil of spikenard
(worth a year's wages)
onto the head
of the Man

grumbling from
the thief as he
saw the chance
for his fortune
running
down
the
beard
of
the
Man
he
valued
less
than
dust

but i set
these words
down in
rememberance
of this deed

for her

she valued Him
more than
her most prized
possession

more than her
own temple of flesh
she had perfumed

and so
she
prepared
the
Man
for
leaving
His
own.

I can just imagine
Jesus Christ on the cross
Inhaling that perfume as
He struggled to breathe
And thinking

"Thank you Mary..."
