(And Reasons Why I Have It Pretty Good)*

2. Starving people in Africa who have nothing that even resembles a stable govermnent to keep them safe and fed and alive.

3. Couples going through divorce or recovering from divorce, and their poor children. =\

4. Drug addicts living on the streets without a family or a hope.

5. Women and children caught up in human trafficking and slavery who have no one to save them.

6. Would-be-mothers who cannot have children. This is heartbreaking for many women.

7. Children abused by their own parents who then have to go through foster care and withstand the constant reminder that they do not have parents that love and care for them.

8. People who have no hope and who believe a bottle of pills is the only way to take away their pain. Life is never a curse, and it is not one's responsibility to take when it becomes unbearable.

9. Fathers who can't find a job in our economy and who feel like a failure because they can't support their family's needs.

10. People who sit in a church and believe they are being good enough to go to heaven, when they've never heard the true gospel spoken to them before.

1. And most importantly...the great number of individuals who have not heard and those who have rejected the Good News of Jesus Christ. It's nothing that I have done that makes me any different than them, but only the grace of God that I took hold of. I won't stand by while my fellow man lives on less than I do every day. I am blessed with food, a better government than many in this world, and parents who love each other and the Lord. I have a life of hope that sustains me better than drugs, a life worth living, and the financial support that only God could supply. And I have a church that preaches the gospel each Sunday and reminds me of how much I need Him.

Lord, never let me forget Your many blessings. Self-pity, worry, and depression keep me from my true potential as Your daughter and servant. Show me how to share my blessings with others, so that I can spread Your Word to everyone I meet.
Amen.

O god! pour all thy art in me,
make my body thy grail;
carve me into a sculptor of thee,
so that mortal men may trail;

make my soul a humble tree,
so i may stoop with my deeds;
to paint thy kingdom aside all creeds,
and at last make mine parched soul free;

O lord! pour all thy art in me,
so blessed would be the heart of me,
a tiny little part of me!

My daddy was a mountain climber
Cause life's a mountain all men must climb
From the foothills of adolescence
To the last days of our lives

My daddy always raised me
To do what I thought right
The lessons that my daddy taught
Have helped me throughout this life

He lived on mountain wisdom
And showed me in my youth much of the same
Said son don't spend all your days in the valley
Cause in the lowlands there's no gain

And boy don't take the path well worn
That's been cleared out all soft and smooth
Take the one with rocks and ledges
So you'll have something to hold on to

That's why today I'm a mountain climber
Cause life's a mountain all men must climb
From the foothills of adolescence
To the last days of our lives

I want to read a book
That's never been read
Hear a gentle word
That's never been said
I want to sit back
And close my eyes
When I open them up
Everything is alright

I want to ring a bell
That's never been rung
Sing along to a song
That's never been sung
Pull back the curtain
With all of my might
So I can expose
Everything is alright

I want to see
What has never been seen
Take a long walk
In the hands of a dream
Reach as far as I can
The highest of heights
And pull down to earth
Everything is alright

I want a spot
Where I feel I belong
Take all that I've got
Before it is gone
I want to shine
The brightest of lights
So I can find
Everything is alright

Some keep the Sabbath going to Church—
I keep it, staying at Home—
With a Bobolink for a Chorister—
And an Orchard, for a Dome—

Some keep the Sabbath in Surplice—
I just wear my Wings—
And instead of tolling the Bell, for Church,
Our little Sexton—sings.

God preaches, a noted Clergyman—
And the sermon is never long,
So instead of getting to Heaven, at last—
I’m going, all along.

There will surely come a day
When all of this shall fade away
Fade from mind and fade from view
When all that's left will be in you

No more worries, no more tears
No more regret of the lost years
No more pain from words been said
Where all is you in all we have

That day the captives will be free
To live in Christ's perfect harmony
The lion laying down with the lamb
Just the way God had it planed

On the shore of heavens bank
We will unite with all the saints
Who have ventured on before
In the Glory of the Lord

I am praying for that day
When all mankind will see the way
No more yielding of the sword
As we lift high your Holy Word

Yes, I am praying for that day
Where all of sin shall fade away
And all that's left will be to sing
Forever praises to our Holy King
Happy Easter my friends...

You say  your not religious
Well neither my friend am I
It was man that made religion
It was Christ that came for us to die

He came to earth with a purpose
And that purpose was to set us free
From the guilt, the sin, the daily shame
All chains of captivity

It was the religious leaders of his day
That used their power as a tool
It was Jesus that came to do away
With all the man made rules

Rules that held the people down
The same as they do today
Invite Jesus into your heart right now
And let freedom have its way

You say your not religious
Well neither my friend am I
It was man that made religion
It was Christ that came for us to die

Arrested Savior in the garden
Satan feels his job is almost done
Betrayed by a Judas kiss
And a handful of silver coin

Like a lamb being lead to slaughter
He spoke not a single word
From the time before time began
All his trust is in his Lord

Conviction comes on quickly
Testimony being the lies of man
Still all in Gods perfect timing
Still all in Gods perfect plan

Soldiers spat on him and beat him
Shoved on his head a thorny crown
Mocked him for the king he is
Still uttered not a single sound

They forced on him the cross to carry
Like any common thief
This he did most willingly
Even for the least of these

The pounding of nails through his feet and hands
Being felt in his fathers heart
But both he and Jesus know
This is the important part

They hang him tattered on that wooden cross
On the shameful hill they call The skull
Satan smiled all the while
If only he had known

Father please forgive them
For they know not what they do
A statement that to this very day
Still has a ring that's true

It is finished...
The last thing on the cross he had to say
The perfect sacrifice of the last given lamb
For sinful man has paved the way

Three Long Days Later...

HE IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED!
SINS CHAINS THAT HELD US CAPTIVE
HAVE BEEN BROKEN FREE!

All in Gods perfect timing
All in Gods perfect plan
That Jesus Christ would be the one to die
All for the love of man

A baby born in love
More than just a child
Here to fill our greatest need
This baby born to us

Born out of flesh and spirit
The perfect child in time*
One day to heal the lame, the sick
Give sight to the lost, the blind

A way to reconcile
The fallen heart of man
Here to offer the purest  sacrifice
*Fulfilling God's loving plan

A treasure is found in the sunrise
When my eyes open up to you
For the fiery sun in its brilliance
Shall be my golden jewel

And its beauty shall remind me always
Of how rich I am my Sweet Lord
When your love is such a part of me
That so daily I need you more

And even if many know you
I feel no one knows you better than me
What you bring so daily to each of our lives
With your love, your strength and integrity

For even if my flesh was to deny you
My spirit and soul will always be yours
And they shall always possess deep within
The sweet treasure you laid in store

Until the day of my real birth finally comes
When my spirit leaves this body and the battle is won.
A prayer

You applied the brush stroke of this morning
To the canvas of our lives
Adding colors of your glory
To the dawning of first light

The beauty that surrounds creation
Is placed there by the Master Artists hand
From the deep green of a forest meadow
To the light beige of the oceans sand

You drew the silhouette of distant mountains
To add balance to the desert plains
Giving just a taste of what awaits
The children known by your name

The detail of the stars above
The beauty in an innocent smile
Makes us gaze with hearts of longing
To the day when all this will pale

There we will see you in all your glory
On the streets of shining gold
Beside the streams of crystal waters
The purest beauty ever known

Where you have used the brightest colors
Heavens canvas shining rays of light
Worshiping the true beauty above all others
The Artist who drew us into this life...

I will not be afraid
At morning, noon or eventide
For I know that God is there
Walking by my side.

Even though He may seem
Sometimes so very far away
But I know and trust that He is there
Walking with me day by day.

There is no reason to be scared
There is no reason to fear
For in the darkness we must trust
That His presence is so very near.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2

After this I looked, and,
behold, a door was opened in
heaven: and the first voice which I
heard was as it were of a trumpet
talking with me; which said,
Come up hither, and I will shew
thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in
the spirit: and, behold, a throne
was set in heaven, and one sat on
the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look
upon like a jasper and a sardine
stone: and there was a rainbow
round about the throne, in sight
like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne
were four and twenty seats: and
upon the seats I saw four and
twenty elders sitting clothed in
white raiment; and they had on
their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded
lightenings and thunderings
and voices: and there were
seven lamps of fire burning before
the throne, which are the
seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there
was
a sea of glass like unto crystal:
and round about the throne, were
four beasts full of eyes before and
behind.
7 And the first beast was like
a lion, and the second beast like a
calf, and the third beast had a face
as a man, and the fourth beast
was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each
of them six wings about him; and
they were full of eyes within: and
they rest not day and night, saying,
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God
Almighty, which was, and is, and
is to come.
9 And when those beasts give
glory and honour and thanks to
him that sat on the throne, who
liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders
fall down before him that sat on
the throne, and worship him that
liveth for ever and ever, and cast
their crowns before the throne,
saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord,
to receive glory and honour and
power: for thou hast created all
things, and for thy pleasure they
are and were created.
