As we stood face to face...
Waist-deep in our insecurities,
the years...
Would continue to
revolve around us with nonchalance.
Soothing the wounds we had traded.

The universe...
Would envelope us.
Like cosmic balm.
Healing us...
Catalysing us,
into melding together.
So we'd emerge out of the fray
as a single entity.

An entity...
Oblivious to each other's imperfections.
An entity...
Capable of discarding past discrepancies.
An entity...
Granted a new lease.
An entity...
Worthy of another breath.
this word alone
can't hurt you
but
what makes it painful
are the people
that surrounds it*

society will always
pull you down and label you
but don't listen to them
stand at the middle
between feeling
and thinking
don't mind them
be who you are
and what you will be

Got Guanxi
little girl blue,

They reminisce over you,
In the cosmic blues,
A star before the fire sparked,
consistent front page news.

A heart of golden rock and roll,
Nothing stopping you.
The pain inside took its toil,
the grain in your voice and tortured soul,
stole us all from you.

It was time that took your life,
In the the time of your life
You wanted to be loved so much,
but not enough to change your mind.

Now you are a shooting star,
that burnt out years before,
Captured in the music left,
that all of us adore.

songs are sleeping in my naked shoulders
he said untranslatable words:
I want to confiscate your lips
aerate your dreams,
and all the rest, you know

I’ve tried my skin today
as if a nest of lazy hours
free spaces I found
patches of unhope,
poppies and
the possibility of you.

joy creates perfect moments
sweet fingers
nothing to take in or out
no shadows inside fists -
I just love how the light rides
the storm of things,
horizons are passing through
my words
and

*nothing louder than the heart

Tree so tall
Mountain up high
Leave your image
Written in the sky

Mother of Earth
Father and sun
Tell me the secrets
Before my time is done

Alone in this world
Strong and tall
If I receive no help
I will certainly fall

Send your message
Don't deceive or lie
Give me a chance
Before I die

My plea for help
Didn't go far
No one listened
So, I wished upon a star

At night we were a fresco
painted by an astronaut, our
messy bed the chapel of a
voyeuristic God, where glory
worked with hurried hands
in frenzied fellowship and
hallelujah was a sigh that
quivered on my lips, then we
nodded off like angels of our
own apocalypse; it was made-up
love, when we woke up,
the dreamed up stuff of kids.
A refurbished oldie. Feeling nostalgic.

You can never save the world
Without Loss
You can only change within
No Matter the Cost

Change Within
Our Greatest Weapon,
A prolific ammunition,
Conveying wounds through the most infinitesimal incisions,
Ricocheting across the battlefield,
We call our nation.

The greatest weapon
Against our greatest enemy,
Ignorance,
Is our ability to inspire one another.
Love Conquers our Differences
Time can Build a better Future,
Even over a foundation of
**Belligerent Ignorance
I am neither White or Black
I'm just ME
Without an understanding or empathy
For anyone who can't see that

I'm tired of this side
of the wall,
tired from the effort
it takes to maintain.
I'm tired and wonder
if it should fall
how long will it take me
to raise up again?
I'm tired of this side
of the wall,
so tired I numbered
every stone.
I'm tired and wonder
if ever it falls
will I have the courage
to leave it alone?

how easily
all can be
forgotten

tomorrows
empty of bygones

no other sorrow
than a slight
longing

the longing
of a sailing ship

waving at the shore

the distant shore
