moon egg glistening
in nest of cloud
unsuspecting
it's lain in shroud

the egg is symbolic
of the soul
the clouds devour
the moon egg
whole

but this egg
won't be undone
it is lighted by the sun

so the cloud's belly
dark as night
shows an eerie
ethereal
light

the moon egg glows
and softly sings
so the cloud's
edges
wear a ring

moon egg coming
from the girth
gives the
impression

of

REBIRTH!

Another poem in my moon series. The half moon really looks like an egg. And it was up in the sky in a cloud that looked like a nest. That very Cloud devoured it. But it poured out such light that the entire edges of the clouds were backlit. Truly a beautiful sight!

Time for me to go to bed now.
I'll read more tomorrow

I am a garb.
An outfit.

I am now in season.
And in trend.
I am well loved.
Well received.

But fads pass...
What used to be the rage
will eventually fade.

What used to be sought after
will inadvertently be shelved.
And forgotten.

So wear me now.
Fill me full.
As you grow,
my sleeves would shorten.
And seams would burst.

Wear me now.
For I am your garb.
And I still fit.

Daybreak brushes pink clad
hovering skies
beyond back lit mountains of Cascadia

Sunrise peaks through
the dawning nimbus
a variegated rosy
glowing consonance

The passing marine endowed sky,
framed by pinecone adorned
old growth timber stand,
near and far

Red sky some mornings,
awakens heart on sleeve
without warning

a lone mourning dove calls out --
unanswered
drowning out the drone
a lonely heart's throb

Harbingers of seasons change
cast nebulous shadows
over mountain
greenery meadows

imminent reminders
-- ready or not --
what’s come and gone
a moment passed

Though hearts may shine brightly
carefree summer's lazy days,
prevailing currents portend
the ever-present
winds of change

Someday heaven's healing rain
is going to fall softly
on this restless solitude;

cleansing a weary soul,
renewed once again,

mostly whole

seeds lie barren
on the hardpan
of a soul craving

seek absolution
on scarred knees
search for bliss
in the brief bloom
after sparse rain
believe these offerings
are not in vain

seeds lie dormant
awaiting
grace

In the high sky
Where the air is weak
And full of strangers
Nothing lives for long
Only gypsy-footed drifters
Come here on their way
To who knows where

And this place can only be reached
Without anchor or rudder
Nor even a moral compass
Riding on clouds of smoke
And it's such a long way down
Through falling-about laughter
And blood in the gutter
To the hungry crushing ground

....................so let me narrate
about the rain and sun...off and on, they alternate
i wait......i sigh when my moon is not there, and night is late,
no moon tonight...just rain, it's mist wakes me often nowadays
my eyes squint, and blink...to clear off the gloom, the gray,

the sky is sadly white this morning
ashen.....like my thoughts... paling
trees are stilled.... rooster is crowing
rain, from the leaves are dripping

i must not be swayed by the vast grieving skies
may there be no tears falling from my eyes
let me hear angels' laughter and giggles, instead of cries
let me share their pain
i wish to see them smiling again
let me speak to God
stand with my moon up above

i seek Him now
i so need Him now
He seems too far to hear
yet, i know, i feel...He is always near

there...at the verandah these past nights
i've been waiting for that magical glow of light
a sign...that my hopes and prayers may soon take flight
be heard,  and granted...after this dark, rainy night...

calendar says it won't be soon....
though i'm grateful for a quarter...it's a boon
but, i really want it full...so, i wait for my august moon.

it's very simple really
if you fill your life
with love
and shake it gently

it then allows the
peace
to settle
