I
still hear
voices
but now
we all get along.
A poet in love
Is a match soaked
In gasoline.

follow my writing!

it will kick you in the diaphragm.
Not black or white
but something in between

Not happy or sad
a neutral human being

Not light or dark
a neutral day and time

Not rich or poor
but I have my money fine

Not one side or the other
I'm just the middle man

Not a diamond in the rough
just another grain of sand

I cried
Remembering
So many
Of our moments
Together
But not because
It hurt to miss you
(Though it does )
But because
I was so happy
And so thankful
For every moment
That I did get
In your arms.
I thought about Warren. Our last day. Our card games and adventures. I thought of that first time you said you loved me and how you kissed me and held me.
It kept me
numb
and numb was the
only feeling I
was searching
for.

I used enough
in those days
to avoid
feeling any
type of emotion
for too long.

And when I
cried,
it was mostly
over a memory
of a time when
I should
have cried
but
was too numb
to care.

I like 10 word poems because it forces you to summarize your thoughts  to the point where you're really only saying what you mean.
Maybe I should try using that same theory in my own life, haha.
